Seriously. The DNC and some of the media is doing him dirty the same way that they did in 2016. Bernie is the candidate that the people want but the system doesn't favor him. It's sad. I do like Warren, though. She feels like a Bernie-lite candidate and I like how she's laid out her plans and is clear with what she wants to do. I'm on the fence about Pete, but Biden just feels too cut from the same wool as Hillary and Klobuchar isn't too strong but is using this campaign as a good builder. Gabbard is also a very interesting candidate who brings something to the party, as is Yang but I just wish UBI wasn't his main thing.

Warren is a moderate disguised as a progressive. I weirdly like Cory Booker, but he's no good. Yang would be my second choice, but Bernie all the way.

No need to vote if mayor Pete or Biden win the primaries. 4 more years of Trump just to teach the establishment democrats a lesson.

Warrens medicare plan: doing the public option for an unreasonably long time and then kinda sorta trying to pass medicare for all.
Sounds like a solid plan to me!

1. Bernie 2. Andrew Yang 3. Tulsi Gabbard 4. Elizabeth Warren
Nobody else has anything to offer. Warren is slipping in the polls, looks like her voters will go to Biden and Sanders. Most for Bernie though.

Please, America, do better than we did. With the left not seeming to get their shit together and Trump's base and the GOP growing more and more insane and visceral by the day, I'm worried... I hope the U.S. can do good in 2020 though.

I hope the U.S. can do good in 2020 though. Oh, I'm completely pessimistic about electoral politics. I think it's 99% sure Trump will get a second term. The uncomfortable truth is that as long as we have capitalism, any meaningful democracy is impossible. The media will be ran by powerful interests, the economy will be ran by powerful interests, and so will the state government. Only things like a World War can change that, and I'm not really hoping for one of those. The only answer is to democratise the workplace.

CNN and MSNBC would be rolling this clip all day long. Well, at least once. The video hasn't been up that long so I will give them the benefit of the doubt, but so far it has unsurprisingly been ignored. If it is never shown on any of the mainstream channels it tells you everything you need to know about their intentions. And get off the fence regarding Buttigieg He has no principles, he won't give a direct or concrete answer to anything, and he caves for racist cops. Hard pass.

Oh, I'm completely pessimistic about electoral politics. I think it's 99% sure Trump will get a second term. I totally get your pessimism(especially on an awful day such as today), but that's a bit much, although I assume that number is intentionally hyperbolic. In regards to the primary, I think the US voting system, as ridiculous as it is, will give Bernie a much better chance of winning than if it would have been a regular voting process. The reason for that is the possibility to build up momentum. If he wins or at least comes close second in the first primary he will get more people intrested, and so the snowball starts its way down the hill. But yeah, he will probably have to have the lead after the first few states for that snowball to get as big as it has to be. Against Trump I just can't see him lose. Biden would, Warren might, but Bernie is just too strong. And maybe I'm naive here, since I know many establishment Democrats would rather have Trump than Bernie, but I don't see the media getting biased in favor of Trump... any other Republican president, for sure, but this is a guy who has personally insulted everybody on mainstream news, and as a result there would maybe just be a neutral stance. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but this is no Hillary we're talking about, he knows what he's doing.

Here's Chomsky's view on why he thinks Bernie has almost no chance: I can't disagree with the man on this one. Capitalism puts so much power in the hands of those for whom it's in their interest to fight even slight improvements to economic justice. I just can't see it being allowed to happen.

Saw that clip yesterday. I understand the pessimism(especially from an old guy who has seen dreams turn to dust again and again), but he does leave some room for hope after all. This might be another time when the people actually come together, the moment could in some ways not be better for that to happen. But I guess you got to see it like a football coach, as in taking it one primary at a time. And then when the first Super Tuesday approaches(looked it up, March 3)he just has to take the chance. Until then I choose(and in a way force myself) to be optimistic!

The impeachment being successful? I'll give an optimistic 2%. I do think Bernie has a chance though, it's looking more likely by the day.

Calling it now: Trump's getting re-elected in November.
Biden is practically senile. Yang is a joke. Warren's been doomed since she played into Trump's hands with the "Pocahontas" thing. Booker and Klobuchar are too centrist. Buttigieg has literally 0% approval rating from African-Americans. Bloomberg and Steyer aren't even worth mentioning. And good luck getting people in swing states to vote for Bernie, a socialist Jew from Brooklyn. Deval Patrick got in way too late. Tulsi is a Russian-funded DINO. And who the fuck are Michael Bennet and John Delaney?

That being said, America really needs to reload an old file and try again.
