It's Liam imo. We all know what Noel is capable of but I could have never imagined Liam finding the amount success again he experienced in 2017.

Has to be Liam for me. He's been the come back kid this year and he's done it big time.
Like Noel's album (most of it)...but as some1 said earlier "business as usual" for Noely.
That's my opinion and u all deserve it😊
Hny to you all.

Everyone's A Winner - anyone get what that's a reference to? I'll be impressed with whoever knows!

Undisputedly Liam. Better selling album, better live shows, bigger concerts, more accessible, interacts with fans more. That's not suggesting Noel has had a 'bad' year as he hasn't, Liam's has been much better

Hot Chocolate! No, it's an Oasis reference... Wracking me brain and I half think it might have been a tune mentioned by Noel back in the day but never released? Other than that, God knows!

Well, you're half right. In the spring of 1997 it was rumoured to be the name of the first single off their next [at the time] untitled album. Turned out to be wrong as it was D'You Know What I Mean? but that was the rumour and I still remember it 'cause I was looking out for this tune called Everyone's A Winner and it never materialised. So there ya go!

Liam, Definitely Liam. Once I was a big Noel and Liam fan but Noel turned into a dick during the Chasing Yesterday tour

Whether or not WBTM is the better record (it is), it’s pretty clear Liam captured the public attention more than Noel last year.
He worked hard for it, played loads of good gigs, did most of the right sorts of press, and gave a lot of the country an outlet for their emotion with the Manchester tragedy.
The cumulative effect was the first time Liam had caught peoples’ interest since Lyla. Whereas Noel has been Noeling along happily since 2012, so he’s less noticeable.
But fortunately life is not a zero sum game, I think they both got roughly what they each wanted out of the year.

I think we need to pump the brakes a little bit, it's only March, 2017 isn't even half way over for christ sake....
Thanks.

Have to give this one to Liam, overall As You Were is a better record than Who Built The Moon?
But add up all three efforts from both and Noel is still miles ahead.

I think Noel made the better album by a long shot. I enjoy some of the songs on Liams but the production is too modern sounding for my taste, although I prefer it to the 60's retro sounds of DGSS. I'd say it was Liam's year though, partly because his success was so unexpected. What are the figures for both albums?

Liam wins! As you were is the best album. WBTM is at times ridiculous and embarrassing. Even Liam's concerts are better than Noel's boring gig. Liam wins! and will win again in the future!
