That actually was a well produced "Supersonic" for the American audience who mostly think Oasis broke up in 1997. I thought it was gonna be all about Noel and Who Built The Moon but that was only the last 40 seconds or so of an 8 minute segment. This guy always has great musical profiles on Sundays. CBS has always been the Tiffany network for sure.

Perfect snapshot of everything in that. I watch that, then go see rankings in another thread of WBTM being on the same level of the 90s albums and think. Hmmm. Hmmmm. Interesting.

Very strange seeing Oasis/Noel on a popular American morning show. I told a friend who is also a huge Oasis fanatic that I believe Noel is angling for US exposure and awards last week (after publically talking about not having won a Grammy and hanging with musical titans recently). This somewhat makes my point. Nothing new for the fans, but Americans might’ve been surprised and learned some things they didn’t know. Not too sure if Noel is arsed about the states, but that was a pretty revealing interview on a morning news show. If people understood their history, people may be less inclined to write off the Gallaghers as barbaric hooligans. Hopefully, it had the audience it deserved. I think he cares, probably more now than before. The way Noel has spoken of BHN as a failed chance to be put on the same level as U2 (always U2 as the benchmark for him, it seems), I would say recognition on both sides of the Atlantic matters to him. That and probably an OBE or even a full knighthood. He's had commercial success already, now he's aiming for critical acclaim, and securing his legacy.

How fucking great is it to see Noel going around where he grew up. Actually attaching himself to the beginnings and showing us who grounded he can be. That's the Noel Gallagher i knew as a fan.
I also think it takes these interviews in another country, targeted at a specific audience for him to be like this and open up a bit. There's no way for example he would sit on Jonathan Ross or Radio X and admit he needed Liam.

That about the knighthood came up today with Brand and Noel said he would not be bothered to go there, but would accept it if they sent it by post.

Very good interview for his American audience.
Cool to see his apartment. He had previously spoken that when he was waiting by the apartment that no one recognized him. 1 person thought he was Liam.
In the 90s and later on (before the internet) I assumed it was Liam to blame for everything. I couldn't stand him. Of course, his actions and words are what led me to that opinion. But, had i been privileged to their interviews in England ( (Much more insightful and Noel was just as arrogant ), than I might have developed the opinion that I have now...Which is they were both cocky assholes and that is what made Oasis.
I agree with him in regards to Liam. He has gone too far. My issue with Noel is that he needs to take responsibility and acknowledge his role in the breakup of their relationship.

I guess it would be nice to see him get more recognition here. I think the public perception of Oasis has shifted a bit more positively within the past 15 years or so.

Guys, what did Liam say exactly about Sara and the kids? I don't remember anything that bad. LÃam lets the last Hungarian go. He waits until his wife and kids are in the ground and then he goes after the rest of the mob. He kills their kids, he kills their wives, he kills their parents and their parents' friends. He burns down the houses they live in and the stores they work in, he kills people that owe them money. And like that he was gone. Underground. Nobody has ever seen him since. He becomes a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night. "Rat on your pop, and LÃam Gallagher will get you." And no-one ever really believes. Thanks.

I don't think that "Liam's gone too far." He never insulted his children and rarely his wife. While it is known that she does not hesitate to insult him. Anais also spends his time attacking his uncle. For me there is nothing worse than being accused for something that we did not do

I think he talked about Noel kids when he criticized Sara for posting pictures of them with Springsteen and other people. I can't remember other comments on them. Liam really doesn't like Sara.

But, the problem is that Liam does his insulting directly publicly while Noel does it very sneaky. Again, both are to blame. http://instagram.com/p/BY3h7ivHIHM
