Surely you'd absolutely melt with the heat wearing a parka to a gig? Body heat alone makes it uncomfortably warm, never mind having a big parka on.
Never understood the logic myself.

Queued from about 3.15 and there was already about 40-50 of us in the queue. Got in at 4 and was told there would be a mini gig and then he would mime come back to me 3 times. Liam came down the queue and slapped my hand before we went in (fan girl moment). Cannot tell you how surreal it was to watch Liam Gallagher in a venue of that size. I go to watch bands in places like Bodega in Nottingham every week and it was a room smaller than that but seeing fucking LG! madness. That was worth the 6 hour travel alone. The songs were basically just the first few of his set. Seeing them that close up i have to say they all, bar jay whos quite embarassingly bad at times, performed brilliantly. There was so many shouts of get your scissors out and at one point Liam said "im glad im not the only one digging him out on that cos its not on". Ironically Come Back To Me was the song people knew the least and in the second verse im pretty sure i was the only one in the room who knew the fucking words. Including liam who is still checking his monitor for the words to his fucking single!!! Anyone expecting anymore than a simple live video will be dissapointed. Just have to wait and see if i feature now. Sorry to dissapoint some on here but im not a parka monkey unfortunately. I am stood quite near the front with my missus so thats all the clues youre getting On a side note, this will pribably piss alot of you off but despite the fact i won the competition and a few others from around the country were there, the queue was made up of people they had gone to around glasgow at the last minute to pick up from anywhere because hardly anyone replied to their winners emails.

Wouldn't go so far to say it pissed me off but can't get my head round people applying for this then not replying. I'm only 20 min from Glasgow and would have been there in a heartbeat if I'd been picked.

Got told many stories in the queue and inside like my boss got a phone call last night asking if anyones up for it and LGs team going around some bars in Glasgow asking around. What i will say is, the emails were far from looking legit. I had my worries and on Facebook alot of winners were worried the email was fake because it was a gmail account. The response i got to confirming my attendance was "cheers mate" so it was far from being official.

Guess they were trying to be cool and casual but I think if your asking for people to travel the length of the country at their own expense then something a bit more formal might have been a better idea. Was it warner who contacted you or Liam's camp?
