Holy fucking shit that is the best wonderwall version ever hands down!!! You are not kidding. I'm still half-expecting someone to say it was a rehearsal take from 1995 or something. How much rest did he need to have his voice sound that good? Maybe that's the ideal spacing between gigs!

Tbh it annoys the hell out of me that he cuts the maybes and save mes short live when he has the range quite easily.
On this its brilliant and how it should be

Great version of Bold Is Wonderwall in one note below standard tuning? Can anyone confirm this or was it just my personal feeling? It should be in the original key (F# minor). Well, I didn't have a capo to play the chords but I managed to play along the vocal melody using F# minor pentatonic scales so yeah.

My first thought was why would he record Wonderwall again, but it is a very good version. I'd imagine having the name Liam Gallagher next to Wonderwall on Spotify doesn't do any harm for sales.

These sound as 'live' as the Air Studios songs. I guess a good comparison is how bands used to record John Peel sessions. Only heard Bold so far - really nice version. Just heard Wonderwall. The autotune is strong with that one! God bless the autotune!! I hate the term autotune in relation to this, it's pitch correction, some of the frequencies are taken out and other are moved slightly, and it's standard.

Any chances to hear it without using Spotify? So curious about "the best wonderwall since..." I'd love to hear them without joining Spotify too please! It's not available in my country anyway.

Great versions of Wonderwall & Bold, on Wonderwall it makes me chuckle that Liam once said he couldn't even bare the hear it and it made him gag ...very strange he has chosen that song to be his tentpole Oasis tune! but he nails it so all good

Wonderwall works great without drums.

He was very self-deprecating about it in his early gigs: "Now I've got your attention you're gonna have to put up with the new stuff, then we'll do some more Oasis". Plus I wonder if maybe there's a business angle there too: When the original Wonderwall single sells a copy, Noel gets the songwriter's royalty, and all members of the band split the performance royalty. By re-recording it, Noel still gets his cut, but the bulk of the performance royalty goes to Liam. KISS did something similar a few years back by re-recording their greatest hits with the current lineup to cut Ace and Peter out of future royalties. Whenever a KISS song is licensed, the label supplies the re-recorded version.

You know, I think Liam's voice on AYW is not that amazing, still too nasal, but fuck me this version of Wonderwall... Liam sounds really, really good! Bold sounds great as well. Please, Liam, keep doing whatever you're doing to take care of your voice. It's working!

maxiht, I deleted the link you posted as it's a bit tricky to post the direct download link. People, you can create a free spotify account to listen to it.

Ok I will accept the term is pitch correction, not autotune. A lot of it is pitch corrected though - start of the second verse of wonderwall/chorus of bold most evident. Not saying he's not singing a lot better, he is, but I've been reading as if he's magically gone back 20 years for a day.

If someone could point me in the direction to these in a link form in a discrete manner it'd be much appreciated.

Is it just me or is Wonderwall slightly lower in terms of tuning than the original recording?
I'm really not 'technical' when it comes to music. I don't know what the terms are for the different keys and stuff (I just know that a key is the chord you start on, yeh?).
I just play it by ear. To me it sounds like a half step down at least?

Seriously wow just wow ...both sound great and I think its testament to the strength of Bold that it can stand side by side with a classic
I just had to listen to the original Wonderwall and its mindblowing how good this version and vocal is

That version of Wonderwall is fantastic.
I'd be interested to know how much studio "magic" has gone on with Liam's vocal though. I mean, if a producer can make Ian Brown sound like a good singer...
