Review score is a bit worrying, but I'm glad that Noel's taking inspiration from Serge Gainsbourg. That man invented trip-hop two decades before Portishead. Some of his stuff is incredible

Maybe this is the Gainsbourg song that Noel took inspiration from?

Makes me laugh how some people actually worry about this sort of thing.

Led Zeppelin IV only has 8 songs on it. Decent record. The times that Oasis albums would have been improved by taking a song or two off, it really doesn't bother me. Agree. Quality, not quantity. Both would be ideal though

Apparently Q gave it 4 out of 5. Wasn't able to read the review. There is a photo in another thread that I couldn't open on the phone.

"His best record for more than a decade" :-0 But the haters on here say it's only got 7 or 8 songs and it's really only an EP?!

The more I read and hear the less excited I get for this album... Hope I'm surprised. Yes have to agree....changing for the sake of changing. If it ain't broke don't fix it in my opinion. .variation yea but. .unless we get some immense big tunes from this ...Liam will grinning from ear to ear..and I've shelled out on Noel rip off tickets too so crossing everything.

I’m not taking the reviews too seriously, they’re okay to read but I wasn’t put off with any ‘average rating’ reviews Liam got.

Q gave Different Gear Still Speeding 4 stars. Maybe they've now hired someone with ears to review it. Either that or this is a bad omen.

There's your explanation for the good review of DGSS.

Maybe it's just that DGSS is not as bad as people pretend it is.

Maybe it's just that DGSS is not as bad as people pretend it is. DGSS somewhat benefited from people being surprised that it actually sounded decent. A ton of reviews admitted that they excepted that album just be a complete and utter waste. Since it wasn't, it might have been overrated by some publications.

Maybe it's just that DGSS is not as bad as people pretend it is. Nah, it's still pretty mediocre. Has its moments, but it's, well, BEIGE. Might as well have called it "Oasis: The Songs Noel Wisely Told Us We Couldn't Include".

That's clearly the press release put out by the label rather than an actual review.
