Not a big fan of PC and Chinatown lyrics. (Because the music that they constantly play. It says nothing to me about my life). The other songs have good lyrics (esp ballads). Some say that they're a bit of cringeworthy and repetitive - don't understand why.

From Greedy Soul.

Oh what a bummer If they only knew What I've uncovered They'd be swerving you The use of the word bummer is the only thing that stops that being worthy of the album for me Sounds a lot like.... I want ObamaJust sayin'.

Oh what a bummer If they only knew What I've uncovered They'd be swerving you I think this is my favourite song off AYW. The chorus brings a chuckle to my face.

I really dig When I'm In Need's lyrics actually
She's so purple haze You know what I mean? I'm counting the days till she's mine
and
Come behold me I want to show me! Gonna slowly Blow your mind!

"Here comes my epiphany Been sitting all so patiently Give me something I can shout about Oh Lord don't let me down"
"You reached out for more, and as the waves hit at the shore you felt the fading of your will"
"You were sold on one direction, I believe the resurrection's on and you were wrong"
"Angels gimme shelter" + "stone cold helter skelter"
"live a life of luxury"
"all things must pass"

I have a soft spot for "Angels, gimme shelter / It's all gone helter skelter". I know the Stones AND Beatles references are kind of ridiculous, but I just like the idea of someone saying 'it's all gone a bit helter skelter' as an idiom for something gone amiss. And if you view it in the context in which Liam would have written it, after the demise of Beady Eye and all that that was going on then, it lends it a certain weight usually not found in a Liam lyric.
In a similar vein, I like how "Am I the lost and found?" from the last chorus of Greedy Soul is actually part of the record, and not just something he does live. I love Liam's cartoonish self-assured side, of course I do, but I like a bit of modesty and introspection from him as well sometimes.

"I believe the resurrection's on, and you were wrong."
Still my favourite line, especially for its accuracy - and Liam looks cool as he delivers the line in the music video.
Moreover, what a ballsy thing to proclaim - could have easily backfired on him. Glad it didn't, like.

"I'm a dreamer by design and I know in time, we'll put this behind."
I don't apologize, I'm sorry that's just who I am. If I did, I don't, but if I did I'd apologize like that. Sorry.

Obviously this is coincidental, but I love Liam sings that you "Hold the key for sure", in I've All I Need, which is a nice nod to Oasis' Stand By Me...
"Times are hard when things have got no meaning. I've found a key upon the floor. Maybe you and I will not believe in the things we find behind the door."
