I was watching a recent Adam ruins everything tv show episode about College. If you've seen the show you know Adam runs into experts along the way to help explain a particular point. Well walking around a college campus Adam runs into a lady playing guitar and she says "hey Adam I was just practicing wonderwall. Do you wanna hear?" And then after she explains her point of view and she picks up the guitar and starts to sing "today" and then stops does it again"today" and then says never mind and walks away. Kind of encapsulates the proverbial Kid on college campus with a guitar in hand playing wonderwall. plus later that night I switched to some network playing a Coldplay documentary, not sure what one it was called, and they mentioned Oasis being a major influence on Coldplay. Pretty cool if you ask me.

I think Jon Stewart is a fan and I remember him mentioning them on the Daily Show several times.

Was watching Formula 1 races this weekend and heard Rock 'n Roll Star after Lewis Hamilton qualified for P1.

They were mentioned on university challenge the other day. The team had to guess what music was being played (stairway to heaven) and they said oasis. To which Paxman replied "oh GOD NO", which was a bit dramatic :/

That's not a slur against Oasis but, c'mon. Bloody nerds.

Tbh I didn't recognise it. I knew it wasn't Oasis of course but it could have been something Noel ripped off over the years, especially listening to the first few seconds of it.
