Oasis were the biggest band in America during the summer of 1996.....Oasis were probably overexposed, heard 'Champagnë Supernova' and 'Don't Look Back In Anger' a zillion times on the radio and MTV.... LÃam spitting on the stage during the 1996 MTV music awards rubbed Americans the wrong way, but Oasis' main downfall was Be Here Now simply wasn't as good and univerasl as (What's the Story) Morning Glory?........ On a side note, I'm drunk af.... Thanks. Yes, Noel plays a big part in the Be Here Now debacle.

A lot of people seem to forget that Oasis were starting to break America again with Dig Out Your Soul. The Shock of the Lightning cracked the Billboard Hot 100, and Falling Down in the top 125, and the album went top 5 when they hadn't even had a top 10 album since Be Here Now.

The vast majority of those, nearly everyone in fact who performed MTV awards had been nominated. Again that plays into my point. If you were on MTV or VH1 in the 90s you were a big deal. Ocean to ocean viewership. No internet. This was the biggest platform. I'm not arguing that they weren't popular. But they turned up at the MTV Awards and except from Kiss and a performance from the Rock n Roll hall of fame by Neil Young they were the only performers not nominated in spite of there popularity as you pointed out. They thought fuck it.

Is something a bit strange about how he wears the same jacket over and over again.

I don't get the hate for this interview, I thought great questions were asked and great answers were given.
Most interesting for me was the fact that Liam was asked to do a song with Foo's at Glasto. I was there and I was hoping that would happen during the foo gig... Secretly hoping for Lyla to be played with the Foo's as they have covered it before.. Liam chickened out.. Real shame!

Think its great how all these headliners look up to Liam so much. Missed opportunity but i can see why Liam didnt do it.

If he can get some rehearsal time (as he mentioned in this interview) he can do it for CalJam. Would be great to have some big sound behind him on whatever song they'd sing together.

More likely to happen at the Foo Fighters solo show in South Korea next month than as Liam is supporting them. That would indeed be an awesome collaboration!

When I was discovering music other than Oasis back in the day, Zane's show was my number one choice so I have a soft spot for him as a DJ. I think it was a really good interview, he's definitely hamming it up even more than he used to but I'm guessing if you wanna gig in the US you have to be a bit like that. Liam is absolutely spot on about the Pot Noodles pot being thinner and hotter to handle.

Why does he keep referring to his time away as 4 years. Yes BE album came out June 2013, that was 4 years ago. But then they were touring it sporadically until '14.
Then he would of spent most of this year recording and rehearsing As You Were. So it really would of only been 2015 and most of '16 when he was doing nothing. That's 2 years.
