No surprise. Belichick has been lobbying to get rid of them for years. Kickers make them 99.6% of the time. Let's spice things up people. PS......fuck Peyton......................and Eli too.

Ok. So I'm probably the oldest , don't make me smartest bit I have seen all the great qbs in there prime from 1970 on .....so here is my opinion a unbiased top 10 if I was playing pick up game who I would choose its unbiased because if I was biased terry Bradshaw would be number 1 , I'll give my reasons after each selection I base this on , 1 arm -2 decision making - 3- mobility Super Bowls mean nothing , if your on a great team they come , look at Phil Simms or Jim plunkett won Super Bowls but not all time ...
So based on arm. Decision making. Mobility. Here is my top 10
1 John elway - he singlehandildly took bad bronco teams to Super Bowl in 3 times in 80 s. Had best arm I ever saw and was the perfect combo of arm , mobility decision making elway ran better than any great qb
2- roger stUbach - losses years in prime serving our country. Was in 4 Super Bowls won 2 and only steelers stood in way of 4 had very good arm decision making probably best ever. And they didn't call him roger the dodger for nothing
3-dan Marino - put him on steelers or niners he got 4 or more lack of mobility only reason he's not 1 or 2
4- joe Montana - basically he is Peyton but with 4 rings a good not great arm great decision making. Moved when needed but not best ever the system made him 4 for 4 put him on Denver in 80 s he loses 3 As well as elway .
5- Peyton manning - him and Brady are neck and neck Brady played on better teams and manning now 2-0 head to head in title games , overall a bit better in reg season slightest edge
6- Tom Brady - see Peyton manning. There interchangeable
7- terry Bradshaw - played in a dynasty but if not for his throws against cowboys when he got hot and was dealt a concussion but still threw game winning td and his 3 in 4 th vs rams they are not a dynasty
8- ken stabler - numbers do lie. Fuck his stats you simply didn't want to play him in a big game
9- Fran tarkentan if you missed him your loss ...
10- Brett farve - on sheer will

apparently the Broncos are in for long game if the refs let the players play because the Seahawks have a pass rush, their secondary is really good and the Broncos receiving core is quite frankly, too white.
God bless.

Check yourself before you wreck yourself! BTW......You gotta go Montana #1. He never lost in the big games. Always performed at an elite level.

Just don't think Montana is best I saw played in best system. If I chooses pick up,I'd take the top 3 first if they played with same talent. Forgot about those , like I said there a toss up .,put Brady ahead or manning . To me there still a tad below top 4 jmo of I've seen ,,,,,I know Montana great , but think if those guys had thosecteamsxsame result and they passed better ( arm wise )

3. Peyton ManningI can only really judge guys I saw play during my life time. Ever look really deep into Elway's numbers? Sometimes he threw 18 TD but also 18 INT. You would never see such a stat from Montana, Brady or Manning. Elway also only led the league in 1 stat category once in his 16 year career. How can you be #1 when you didn't top the league?

It's so simple really. The rules was different ,,,I said at top qbs I seen ....elway at his best was better to me ,,if Montana had that team in 80 s NO WAY he goes TO 3,Super Bowls. Denver sucked ! Stats don't tell the story and the leauge was so different . The leauge wasnt about being tops in numbers elway had no line no receivers and got them to Super Bowl 3 times and they sucked ! That's greatness , throwing interceptions is a product of the system and circumstance , something Montana benefited from If Montana is sooo great how come when he played with the same great inner teams he got embarrassed by the bears and giants Simple he couldn't run his system and couldnt adapt. I think he's great , but not best I saw NUMBERS DO LIE when game was played not in a fantasy world of no defense

Unreal when you think about it. Look at his playoff numbers. The dude got even better.

Put him in Denver he don't put up those numbers ,you can put up,pics and reps and stats all you want , he was a product of a system if he plsyed in Denver or giants he don't have rice or those numbers or the comfort of throwing a 5?yatd slant for 80 yards , you saw tapes , I saw the era ...that's why you can't have debates with numbers if you weren't there. Bobby Orr don't own the record for points by a defenseman. Didn't score the most goals in a season by a defenseman. BUT HES THE BEST OFFENSIVE DEFENSIVE MAN EVER NUMBERS Lie if you saw it your eye would tell u different ....just like don sutton he got 324 wins he's better than Seaver or Gibson or Ryan ? Right Yoyr logic must be hey got more wins was in more playoff games ...,bullshit he was a product of dodgers winning every year 90 games

U know Lennon2217! I just got problems with everyone announcing Montana , he was a great sysyem qb who didn't throw long , had he played on steelers or broncos he would have had to open up game and he didn't have the arm ..fortunately he didn't need it , as he made a carear throwing 5- 10 yard slants for 50 plus to rice , Taylor , Craig outta backfield , no knock just a fact , he plated in the safest offense in nfl history why Steve young did just as well numbers wise ,,sysyem qbs

That's how you become immortal as a player. Keep winning and putting up the numbers. Elway and his Broncos won a shit ton of games. 5 Super Bowl trips, 2 wins and he finished 60 games over .500. That's awesome. However, I personally can't award a guy #1 QB because of all the potential he might have had playing on another team. You can only judge by the numbers and titles on the shelf. I gotta go with the guy that dominated the regular season and postseason. I just don't see any flaws in his game. He didn't make stupid throws and never forced a play that wasn't needed. That's how interceptions come the majority of the time. Tom Brady is very similar in this respect. Super smart.

Agree to disagree. I hear you , but my whole thing with best I ever. Saw was who do I think was best not who do I think numbers made them best , I just know I had. To,pick a game of bests , Montana is not best I ever saw. I don't care Bout inflated stats or zero interceptions , because they were done in a system , ...Ji don't play by computer stats I play by what I know saw .....I know spectacular bid was best horde I ever saw and I saw secretariat .....same goes with hockey I know Mario lemieaux was. Best I saw , I saw Gretzky , I know zep is best band my ears heard , I heard the Beatles ....I don't care about number 1s. I don't care about stats , I care about what is absolute best at there best , that said I'd take elway ..... And in tennis McEnroe in 1984 had the best year I ever saw played a game I never seen before or since , don't care feder or nadal has more majors if they played Mac in 84 they win 0 he wins all ,...... My opinion based on what I saw........unbiased. And not skewed by computer stats or hersay by espn flunkes
And elwayy did play on some good teams to be 60'overt. But ....those 3 super teams in 80 s only got there because of elway his arm and legs .,,,
