I find this John Doran bloke an absolute joke tbh.
How can he go from saying what he did about Oasis, to this?
Complete and utter brown nose.

Funny interview though. Liam's on top form. Best interview yet as far as I'm concerned. Love the McEnroe and Maradaonna stories.

Definetely maybe was good, rest were shit. Liam is a talentless monkey. The nation rejoice at them splitting. I could go on, he then continued to slate them in a comments section, saying how they dott deseeve to be mentioned alongside joy division etc as true greats. Was all a bit laughable to see him then rock up and interview Noel and Liam and give them such introductions. But no doubt for bringing this up, mr.Doran will now be defended.

thequietus.com/articles/02619-oasis-split-nationaThis is Doran's view when Oasis split. The comments section beneath the article says a lot more than the article itself. I had the pleasure of meeting Doran once, bit of a condescending prick. He was probably better company when he was an alcoholic.

I normally like those videos because whilst they bring a lot of the artist's life into the discussion, it always revolves around the music. And whilst it was entertaining with a lot of Liam's quotes and anecdotes as usual, the lack of discussion about music did bring the fact that Liam isn't primarily a songwriter into sharp relief.
Whilst vaguely on topic, favourite in that series of videos is probably this one :

Not a lot on the album but tbh I doubt Liam cares a huge amount about it. I think he just wants to get back out there.

Not a lot on the album but tbh I doubt Liam cares a huge amount about it. I think he just wants to get back out there. I think thats mainly because Doran clearly in his little condescending world where every album he listens to has to include 327 different instruments, consciously made the decision not to get worked up at the answers on music so thought he would focus on the stories Liam has.

Maybe as they filmed for 2 days will be a more album focused video nearer the album launch

Well, we know there are no SAXAPHONES on his record! I'm really enjoying this batch of interviews with a happy, relaxed and funny Liam. Maybe, just maybe, this might help to nullify that public perception of him being moody, aggressive and "the angriest man you'll ever meet". The interesting stuff is there, f.ex. how he surprised himself by starting to write songs again. And he does point out that he's first and foremost a singer. I'm sure there will be more interviews and special things over the next months. But what would be the point now to talk about the album in detail when they apparently are still not set in stone? I see the current batch of interviews as just his "I'm back!" message. Well, I for one enjoy them! And who cares about the interviewer? Maybe he changed his mind, maybe not. But really, who cares? He still asked good questions, IMO, which is what it's about.

Good that he's apologizing to people in this interview and others
Seems like he's learnt a lesson or two in life, something he probably didn't have the "luck" to learn before he was famous.
It's all positive, now let's hope the record is good.
