When I'm In Need is probably that second song he started playing at the pub isn't it? I always thought it was Bold and Greedy Soul he wrote first but a couple of times now he's said it was Bold and that other one, I'd assume it's that.
Another good interview as well. Think this will be remembered as a good era for him professionally.

I keep getting when I'm in need mixed up with all I need whenever I hear it mentioned in interviews and forget that we still haven't heard it yet.
Interesting that he says they still hadnt decided the final tracklist at this point. Lends weight to the theory that not all these songs he is playing are album tracks. They could be a mix of b sides and bonus tracks. I'd assume he hasn't played anything that is earmarked as a potential single.
I'm excited that there is still so much more to be heard from Liam. I'm really liking some of the new songs but if there is bigger and better stuff being held back the bring it on.

If indeed he does have better stuff that are not played live at this point we are going to get really really good album. Most of this stuff he plays live now could easily be on LG album with few singles that we haven't heard and people would be ok with that quality but if some of these are just b-sides etc then we are going to get awesome music from LG.

Think All I Need (Eventhough I love it) and I Get By could be bonus tracks. No chance with the other 5 though, they're too good. You have to take the 22 songs thing with a pinch of salt though. Remember Noel supposedly had 50 songs left over from DBTT but after HFB he claimed the vault was empty.
Think these will definitely be on the album
Wall Of Glass Greedy Soul You Better Run Bold Paper Crown Universal Gleam For What It's Worth
So that leaves us between 3 to 5 more potentially. All I Need has the feel of a co written track so I'd say there's a good chance that ones's made it as well. That leaves I Get By and When I'm In Need from what we've heard/know about, plus possibly a third single and whatever he's go left.
So yeah, I don't think all the songs we've heard will have made it, remember Worlds Not Set In Stone? But it's likely the vast majority have.
I'd be shocked if any more than 2 of those songs don't get on the album

I personally think YBR is appalling and wouldn't like it to make the final cut. I Get By is okay though.
As I pointed out in other thread we have 7 almost confirmed songs: Wall Of Glass, Bold, Paper Crown, Greedy Soul, Come Back To Me, For What It's Worth and It Doesn't Have To be That Way. All interviews so far pointed these as album tracks.
I'm almost sure Universal Gleam will be in there and I hope All I Need ends up making the final cut too.

Liam does say that we will hear all these songs with deluxe album and so on, so it seems they will all be released in some way. If BE is any guide there was 15 songs on deluxe version and then another two on Japan edition.

I said weeks ago that Liam is playing mainly songs he has written himself (album or b-side).
Just out of curiosity to someone who knows their bacon, what impact would this have on how much he gains in profit? Would make sense from a finanical point of view to not do all Oasis songs and only a couple of new ones maybe? Then play songs all written by himself (bar wall of glass of course) for a financial gain?
Would be slightly selfish towards fans, especially festival fans, but could be what hes doing.

I swear Liam said in the NME interview that he's only written Bold, When I'm In Need, Greedy Soul and For What It's Worth himself? Didn't he also say Paper Crown and Wall of Glass were written almost completely without his input and all the rest are co-written?
If not, fuck knows why I'm remembering it like that. I've deleted the scans from that interview so can't check, does anyone else remember?

I've never been the biggest Edith fan but love how she doesn't mention the stupid reunion bollocks once. Focussed on Liam solo, brilliant.

Definitely want Paper Crown to make the cut. And which one is the rocking one in 3/4 time that sounds like a much improved Ain't Got Nothing in parts?

Interesting that Liam does somewhat acknowledge that his vocals can fall off during a tour.

Interesting that Liam does somewhat acknowledge that his vocals can fall off during a tour. The issue isn't really that it gets a bit rough towards the end of a tour, though, it's that his voice underwent a drastic deterioration around 2003. He's never really made any reference to this. Not sure if he's in denial or deluded. I suppose since the recent Hashimoto's disease revelation we might have an answer, but I'd still like him to go into detail on the subject. Surely he's aware that he was unlistenable at times (Buenos Aires '06, Electric Proms '08 to name two) ?

We all know it took a major hit in the mid 2000s. A real what the fuck moment at many gigs. Usually towards the end of tours but you are right, his voice and tone definitely changed. I also have no idea what Hashimoto's disease is or that Liam has/had it.

It's a thyroid condition that results in a really hoarse voice and affects you from about age 30 onwards. Which would be around 2002 for Liam. He also said his mum has the same condition. It would explain a lot of things about his voice. He says he now takes two tablets a day to control it.

Quite amazing when you look at the symptoms really. Who knows how he would've sounded now had he been diagnosed 15 years ago.

I've never been to an Oasis concert, but did you notice Liam's vocals gettings worse when you saw them live? I only got to see a couple BHN gigs. So not top notch peak like his 94-96 self. Still excellent though. On the SOTSOG I thought he still sound fine but a little more gruff. Especially on Go Let It Out. I didn't notice any difference on the Brotherly Love tour either. After 2002, he became strangely more nasally and pinched vocals. Around 2006-2009 he started cutting off his words and half singing them. That was bizarre to say the least. Like he was running out of breath and shouting. Having all that been said, I saw Oasis 11 times and Beady Eye 3 times. I personally only got hit with one truly awful gig. Terminal 5, December 2011. Liam was a train wreck. It was tough to witness and I was embarrassed for him. That was also the last time I saw Liam live so it's shitty. I need a redo. Come to NYC Liam. Redemption time.
