I also like the sound of the band, they speeded up Rock N Roll Star and Morning Glory almost to a punk rock Pistols level, it's cool. No, they played it at its proper tempo. What we got from latter day Oasis and Beady Eye was slowed down nonsense, which started from when Starkey filled in on drums. The DOYS tour version of Slide Away was painful - last night was the closest I've heard to '97 Oasis since...erm 1997. Even Drew's backing vocals were close to Noel's in parts. (He used to be bassist for Pete Doherty / Babyshambles by the way).

The king is back...he's belted out some fan favourites...new songs sound promising. Liam's voice still divides us...clearly some songs he sounded a bit flat on notes...other songs he's the master. Exciting times for us all

He sounds very good on that one actually. Sings it in a lower key, nothing wrong with that.

Wow what a gig. I´m sorry that we couldn´t do any streaming but it looks like others did it anyway. But we taped the full gig and will upload it a little later. The concert was one of the best I´ve been so far (my 21st Gallagher concert). The crowd was great, the songs were great, Liam was great, the band was great. I have to say I met the nicest people last night out of any Oasis/Gallagher gig so far. Everyone was polite, no big problems, it was really enjoyable from the start to the end. Seeing Liam again live was just fantastic. His voice isn´t 96 anymore and will never be again but everyone should know that by now. He did a great job last night. The band fits perfectly in my opinion. They sound raw and hard - even with the old tunes. I can´t really remember all of the new songs for now but I love Wall Of Glass, Greedy Soul and one of the later harder tunes. Bold I didn´t like in the pub video and still don´t. But let´s see how it sounds on the record. Be Here Now was one of my favorites. Liam looked like having fun, the crowd was crazy for it, I just love it. Live Forever like that - would anybody ever thought this would happen? Amazing I don´t know if this is the setlist for his festivals but I guess not. Actually I think this was a setlist only for Manchester so even the upcoming small gigs will be different. I hope he does well with this. Thank you Liam, I´m really glad you are back

I know we have to wait for the album to properly judge, bur I'm happy with most of what I've seen/listened. Really liked Bold and I Get By (must be a track he co-wrote with someone since it wasnt on the website), Paper Crown, Universal Gleam and All I Need sound promising. I was a bit let down by Wall of Glass and Greedy Soul, but again, time will tell.
Some people here will never be satisfied, he played a lot of new songs and some old stuff from Oasis, really cool set, maybe he should've mixed a little bit more, but honestly, I think some of you either have your expectations too high or you simply don't like Liam/Noel/Oasis. Just try to enjoy it, ffs.

That's one of my favourites from last night. Chorus sounds great, strong The Who influence there. (I'd just like to point out that's actually "I Get By", as Liam sings)

I've only just discovered Universal Gleam on YouTube. Man, if the rest of the song carries on in that manner then it's gonna be the song of the album for me I think.
Sound like Noel could've written it to me in terms of chords and overall sound.

At the end of the day.....good voice or bad...this concert destroyed all of Noel's live solo gigs combined.
Period end off Story. Its not even debatable.
3 Oasis songs Sung by Liam beats a Noel Solo gig.
So go on and talk your shit cuz this post is absolute fact. And I love Noel.
Have a great day.

This post of yours is not fact at all, but it's your opinion. and like tomlivesforever said, it's got nothing to do with Noel's gig. I loved Noel's solo gig and I will love Liam's as much as I loved Noel's. Comments like this only spreid unnecessary and stupid Noel vs Liam "debate".
