He behaves like Richard Ashcroft in the vid. Also, what the FUCK is wrong with the EQ in the mix? It is utterly terrible. Decent song, but it's mixed like it's for fucking cats.

This song doesn't have to grow on me because I love it. Well done Liam. You've still got it marra. 👍

Been said before but this is a tune!!
Liam looks like Noel in certains shots of the video.
That being said who reckons this is (yet another) shot at Noel?

Liam's vocal on Wall of Glass sounds great. Brilliant delivery, and I much prefer the spacious vocal sound here to the lo-fi "dry as a bone" sound they went for on BE.
Mad amount of compression going on too, and the bass & kick drum is pretty heavy and distorted. Most of that is probably the part of the mix, but don't forget it's also gone through R1's broadcast processing too.

Jesus fucking christ, is a Gallagher actually giving a shit in a video? Like actually doing stuff, looking into the camera and singing and making gestures and... Wha... Something is wrong... I don't know how to feel about this.

Couldn't make my mind up yesterday due to the quality (not a dig at the recorders as they did the best they could) but love this now i've heard the proper version

Not sure about the guitar solos.... Same. The first time it comes around it sounds nice. But I hate when something clearly sounds like it's been recorded once and then copied and pasted throughout the song. Some variation would have been nice.

Early days and only listened to it a few times but for me its better than anything Beady Eye produced. I think its a really good tune.

Would imagine the pre order's will be up on his site soon now that the official vid is up and it's been on the radio.

Love that video.
Liam seems ANGRY. So does the tune.

Too early to say how it compares to Beady Eye for me. It's good, I can see I could get bored of it easily...! But decent vocal, really nice intro, and the video is really cool, too.

Who wrote "Wall of Glass"? Greg Kurstin. By himself or is it a co-write?

Are people really trying to compare this gem of a catchy playable song to beady eye?!?!?! Beady eye couldn't fart a memorable song apart from flick of the finger.
This is modern, classic, catchy.... gets in your head. Pleased as punch!

I can see this has been a big inspiration for the production.

He behaves like Richard Ashcroft in the vid. Also, what the FUCK is wrong with the EQ in the mix? It is utterly terrible. Decent song, but it's mixed like it's for fucking cats. The mixing/mastering has made it extremely harsh in the mids and top end. It seems like they've gone for pure loudness thus compressing the shit out of it, losing all the dynamics and bringing out all the harsher frequencies. Very fatiguing on the ears. I really like the song though but i do think that's definitely been smashed at the mastering stage. Would have preferred to hear it a bit more dynamic instead of ultra compressed and loud. I have a volume knob for that anyway

First impression.
Very good effort love the harmonica and production.
Still early days but I think Liam has made a very good effort here
