Still no b-side. Liam must not be sure what songs he wants on his album. Wants all options. Its odd so far. He hasn't played the second single live. Are we hearing all album tracks? Are they a mixture of album tracks and b-sides/bonus tracks or having 22 songs recorded are we hearing songs that won't even make the final cut? I'd like to think Liam will pick his strongest 11-12 tracks for the album. Reserve some tunes for b-sides and if everything goes swimmingly, maybe an EP towards the end of the album cycle. Who knows.

Can I just say that those people who don't dig Wall of Glass - I really don't get it.
This is exactly the kind of monster pop-rock tune that made Oasis what they were. And the fact is that Noel Gallagher isn't going to write any tunes for his little brother any more.
So thank fuck for The Bloke Who Wrote Hello For Adele. He's given Liam a tune that gets him back in the game - which is no mean feat after the disaster (yes, disaster) that was Beady Eye.
I listen to this song about 10 times a day and it still doesn't get old. I've been waiting for Liam to sing a tune like this for the best part of 15 years.
If you want to hear another The Beat Goes On or Shine A Light, join the queue with the three other people over there.
That line "You were sold the One Direction, I believe the resurrection's on... and you were wrong" is both a dig at the shit pop music that's infested the airwaves and the older brother who's washed his hands of him. It's genius. And that guitar line in the chorus gets better with every listen.
This song is getting more airplay and exposure (certainly here in the UK) than the Warner Bros marketing types could have dreamt.
The truth is that Noel didn't really give his brother anything immensely special to sing since 1995. That's 22 fucking years ago.
I don't care if Mr Tumble (A popular TV kids entertainer - for non-Brits) writes the fucking tunes. If it means I get to hear Liam Gallagher sing a cracking tune - or 10 of them across an entire album hopefully - then I, to quote the man himself, am MAD FOR IT.

Meh, the songs alright, pretty sure I like the tune itself, don't really like the wall of glass thing tbh. Would have preferred heart of glass as that works a bit better as a simile, wall of glass to me is just a window, seems dumb...I think I would have even preferred piece of glass to wall but maybe I'm getting too hung up on the wall aspect. Going back to the wall aspect I think it might be because a wall of glass isn't really a thing, I don't think of walls of glass shattering but can wrap myself around a heart of glass shattering. Obviously calling the song Heart of Glass though comes with it's own set of problems. ZOMG LG is doing a Blondie cover! The more I write this the more I wish the song was Heart of Glass, if Noel had written it then it would have been heart not wall. 1. Because Noel and I are in sync. 2. Because Noel can't resist stealing things. Take a Blondie title, ripoff some of the tune from The Doors or an equally good artist, write a stomping chorus and stick some lyrics over the top.

It's all subjective but I'd challenge at least half of those, leaving three songs from 1995 to 2008! This is just my opinion but the whole Be Here Now, Stay Young, Go Let It Out, Gas Panic, Roll It Over, The Hindu Times, Bag It Up, The Shock of the Lightning and The Turning are better songs. Wall Of Glass is a good pop song though so I can understand why it's so popular and people like it (I like it a lot).

It's still a great little pop song though, perfect as a comeback single in this currant stale musical landscape we have.

Vinyl sold out on official store again.
I really hope everyone, and I mean EVERYONE who wanted this single on this forum could manage to grab it this time. I'm very lucky because 2 great souls on this forum (you know who you are!) offered me to help me when I was too late for pre-order via official store and my friend in Manchester couldn't get one at Picadilly Records. I'm forever grateful to them.
F**k eBay seller!

This song isn't my cup of tea. I'll enjoy my Beady Eye and post 1995 Oasis songs over this tune everytime. Liam sounds good though, looking forward to the album.

I like Wall of Glass kinda similar to the lead singles off later Oasis i.e. The Hindu Times, Lyla, Shock Of The Lightening, and in fact, dare I say it, like a Roll With It*.
Not classics, just good, up tempo, pop/rock with great Liam vocals.
(*I know RWI wasn't the lead single off WTSMG!)

I think they may have misjudged the demand for vinyl ! I don't like how they sold this single. First "limited 500 copies" only via his official site and Picadilly Records webshop, not even one copy in a shop, then a couple of weeks later again "limited copies" via official website and now 2 Dutch webshops are taking pre-order. If I would have bought it off from eBay when it was sold for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I would have cried.

Cover I've just done of it. Very good. My only criticism is the general criticism of covers often done by this fanbase in which they usually try to emulate Liam's vocals (which I personally find annoying). Just use your natural singing voice. The cover would sound even better! Only Liam should do Liam.

Now I say it again, how many is "limited"? This limited Repress has been taking pre-order by Liam's official site, Picadilly Records webstore, bol.com (Dutch website for everything) and Concerto/Plato webstore (Dutch record store). and what about the ones Record Store UK was selling 2 weeks ago? Like I said earlier today, I really feel sorry for the people who got off from eBay.
