I'm personally fine with this setlist. Some fan favorites mixed in with a couple tracks he hasn't done. Now the question is, why did he do the gig? Charity? A warm-up? I've been wondering this myself since it was announced. Was just talking to a friend about it for being used for promotional purposes then he said maybe it could be part of a Chasing Yesterday Concert BluRay, we haven't gotten that yet. It could explain While The Song Remains The Same. I always thought that his concert at The Dome early 2015 in London was supposed to get a release, since it was edited with all those Chasing Yesterday artwork colours like other promo videos.

I didn't go to his last show in Toronto at Echo Beach because I knew he would play the same exact set. And he was boring the last time I saw him at the Sony Centre. His bandmates must want to kill themselves playing the same shit every night. No one will ever touch Pearl Jam in this area... They played 2 shows in Toronto once... I went to both and I shit u not they only played 3 songs the same from the night before. Oasis played the same set list every night again and again too.

Considering that the concert will most likely wind up as a YouTube video on the studio's channel (I doubt Noel has plans to release it anytime soon), and that, apart from the usual suspects who get put up on the guest list, I doubt there were too many real hardcore fans in the audience, I'm quite satisfied Noel decided to throw in a couple of surprises and two other rarely played arrangements. Pretty sure there were a few people there who didn't even know Riverman.
For those who are complaining: what did you expect him to play? This concert was organised by the studio in order to get some publicity and Noel is not promoting anything at the moment. All that he will probably get out of this is whatever amount the studio paid him and some video that will get shared by his Facebook page. It makes much more sense for him to play Wonderwall than, say, Alone on the Rope, so that he will get recognised by the people who bump into the video randomly after having watched other artists in the same setting.

Id be pretty underwhelmed if id won tickets to that and that was the setlist. Surely he cannot continue to play the same Oasis songs like this when Liam is planning on mixing things up. Noel will always sell out wherever he tours because theres a huge casual fanbase for oasis and those sort of fans probably dont even realise that he is this lazy, but its going to get very boring for the more dedicated fans. Ive seen him 4 times now and i wouldnt think twice about seeing him when hes toured in the past but i probably would now because its a lot of money for essentially the same show. Some people are never happy, I guess. Out of 10 songs, 5 were either never played before (While the Song), never played acoustic (Riverman), played only once or twice (EOTR and Broken Arrow) or in a different arrangement (Listen Up with the piano in place of the electric guitar fills). What are you expecting? That he plays I'd Pick You Every Time or It's Better People in front of a random audience who barely knows What a Life because they heard it "in that Vauxhall advert"? Noel recycling the same setlist every night IS a problem, but I really can't see any reason for complaining this time. Unless you really want to complain just for the sake of it.

I often complain about noels setlists but last nights setlist was fine by me. Hopefully it gets posted online asap.

First performance ever of While the Song... and first time that Riverman gets played in an acoustic setting. It was about time! What we need now is some good footage from this I know strictly speaking that it wasn't acoustic... But the first time I saw NG on the Chasing Yesterday tour (March 2015 in Manchester), pretty sure he played Riverman on an acoustic. Obviously, he had the rest of the band backing him electrically though.

I think that's more of a fuck you to fans than playing a similar set. Change one or two, maybe, but people can't usually afford to go to two gigs. Play the songs that people want to hear. I'm with Noel on this one. Mix up sets for legs of tours, definitely (which he did on the last one), but fuck changing it every night. Takes the piss.

I believe he's always played one of his two cherry red Gibson ES-345s in Riverman, bar a couple of times when he used a Nash Jazzmaster.

I really want to check these versions. We need some videos soon. It is reasonable to think we might get these for the weekend? Don't get your hopes up. I bet there was a strict no-recording policy and with little more than 30 people in the room you can't get away so easily. And being mostly casual fans I don't think we'll get an audio recording either. We can hope that the whole thing will be released in some form at some point, since it was professionally filmed. But until then I don't think we'll get footage from it which is unfortunate.

For sure this was the 1st performance of Riverman with an acoustic guitar, Noel never played it in public before without his guitar.

from what i expect from the people in charge, i would guess they release dlbia as an extremely exclusive fan thing, cos, you know, fans LOVE IT!. wtsrts likely will remain unheard until 2029, when some prduction geek from the location that it was recorded at, leaks it by accident.

The concert will surely get released in some way and not too long from now, as Metropolis Studios will want to see some return to their investment. Whether all the songs will get released is another matter.

I was referring more to the Oasis songs he plays but lets face it, he played 1 different song. Just because hes taken away the guitarists and its just him with an acoustic doesnt make me interested to hear it. I think Riverman is massively overrated anyway. And by now i really cannot stand Noel playing Listen Up. He has turned that from being one of my favourite Oasis songs into me just thinking of his plodding boring version. Btw, do we know that was definetely the setlist? A girl on my instagram has posted a setlist Noel gave her that doesnt have WTSRTS on it. Has all the usual suspects on there.

I saw different versions of the setlist on Instagram (the regular one and another with guitar notes) and both of them contains WTSRTS.

The setlist carlober posted on here is from Lyla27. As far as I (and many of us on here) know, she's the biggest Noel Gallagher fan (and a member of this forum since 2005). I take the setlist she got is a real one.

Yep, you probably mean this one, which is Noel's setlist (the other one which Lyla27 got was probably Mike's). It has capo positions and guitar names (Martin, J150) on it. Also, the capo position for While the Song matches it. It's 100% real. http://instagram.com/p/BT7aLlrAKqJ

If I was going to a gig - and a mate had gone to a gig a few days previous - then I'd want to experience the same setlist that they did. Just my opinion. I enjoy it when bands switch a few songs around - I'm all for that - but nah, fuck switching it every night. I think that's a bigger fuck you to fans than keeping it similar is.

Now you've put doubt in my mind I'd also be quie surprised if he played this one without the electric guitar. Since the first gig on Dome and every single presentation I've seen him playing with the ES 345.... But that reminds that on the first NGHFB tour the first time ever Noel played LTLSALOM live he played with an acoustic guitar and for the second he was already using and electric.
