Didn't realise Greg Kurstin wrote Lily Allen songs too.

Are there any more acoustic performances planned?

Just hope the success does not make him think he can write a whole album on his own would probably be a disaster.

Just hope the success does not make him think he can write a whole album on his own would probably be a disaster. Agreed. Although I would like to see him do the next one a little differently, he's admitted he's not the strongest songwriter and that he's still learning so i would like him to get a load of songs together and then take them to someone like Kustin and get help where he needs it. So that rather than Liam fiddling about with songs they already wrote, he is getting them to tweak songs he already wrote. Would show some progression.

Any fans? I love it, especially this version. This is my best version. I like this song, even on the studio version. It's pure rock n roll.

Any fans? I love it, especially this version. This is my favorite live version, so far. His Reading gig was fantastic.

Just hope the success does not make him think he can write a whole album on his own would probably be a disaster. Totally agree. Don’t think that would be the case as he’s seen what happened to beady eye and the difference here. hopefully more of the same in around 2019 Just happy it’s all working out well. Need more tour dates !

Didn't realise Greg Kurstin wrote Lily Allen songs too. If you search him on YouTube he has done a shitload of the most popular radio songs of the last few years. Not my cup of tea really but it's all pop music at the end of the day, and Liam and Oasis have always been pop songs played on loud guitars or stripped back acoustic. Kurstin also produced the new Foo Fighters record, though I don't know if he wrote anything on there. Sky Is A Neighbourhood is a tune.

I'd say my stand out tune is paper crown, think the studio version of bold is great as well.
Favourite tunes are bold, paper crown, for what's it's worth, universal gleam and I've all I need.
Great debut solo , made up for Liam.

Any fans? I love it, especially this version. I think someone mentioned this before, but the commercial potential of the songs is great... in particular this song.. Picture this.. Victoria Secrets always has a live music guest for the bug runway show.. Opening tune, LiamG and This chorus as they strut past him ... Liam has, between studio versions, live version and his MissusManager created a great platform to be ubiquitous enough (ads, runways, program intro's, tv shows etc) for labels to push him even more next time...

Case in point about Liam being relevant and zeitgeist-y... One Direction is about to discover Liam

Bloody love Greedy Soul, but the live version brings the urgency that's needed and that is lacking on the studio version. I'm missing the "YEAH" at the end of the first verse lyric. Also, "I don't give a fuck ALRIGHT" needs to be shouted....come on Liam. Otherwise, love it. YEAH!

Need more tour dates ! Exactly, especially given the consensus that the middle of this album is where it flags. Liam's improved a lot, but there are a still lot of people out there who can write better songs for him than he can, and I want to hear his voice put to its potential. I don't think this record does that. I'd say 3/4 max from Liam is enough for any album, let him focus on getting his very best songs right. For the rest, I'd like to see him work with a few artists who can write him a real rock song. Rockers seem to be where he struggles most himself, and people like Greg Kirstin are never going to give him one. Put Liam's voice where it belongs, and please, let's get over this weird falsetto obsession. Working with other artists who can naturally write a decent rock tune would also bring us songs written more organically rather than 'this is the one for the Oasis fans, this is the one for their girlfriends, this is the one for their mothers in law etc etc.'

After a week of moving out and racing around without broadband Ive finally been able to sit down and listen to the whole record.
I must admit, I love it. A few songs could have been left off and one added but all in all it's pretty damn good. I dont understand how Doesn't Have to be that way was left off. I would have sacked off Universal Gleam and You Better Run as I believed they were clogging up the record. They honestly didnt need to be there.
My Revised Tracklisting.
1 - Wall of Glass 2 - Greedy Soul 3 - It Doesn't Have To Be That Way 4 - Bold 5 - Paper Crown 6 - For What It's Worth 7 - When I'm In Need 8 - I Get By 9 - Chinatown 10 - Come Back To Me 11 - I've All I Need
I think that 11 songs and in that order would have flowed really well and you would have had a real mix of the rockers, the ballads and also the more interesting songs.

And seems pretty talented in many genres.

I really like You Better Run, think it's a cool and rocking tune. Good fun, should be in a film.

My delux box set arrived today and I picked a deluxe CD in my local shop today too. Box set is for my collection and deluxe CD is to listen to. joladella, indeed all those letters in the CD booklet are nearly impossible to read. Listened to the mp3 version which I received from official store yesterday, but listening to the album as I type, even for my humble ears the difference is clear. and I'm sure it gets better when I spin the LP. Anyone who is planning to purchase mp3 version, don't do that, but instead of it buy the CD or LP. You'll be happy for a long time. Really loving Bold right now.

Yeah, white on black is not helpful either! I bought the deluxe (well, twice now!) and the mp3. The plan was for the mp3s to help me overcome the waiting. Oh well, all my intentions were good! 😝 But now I can listen anywhere, cd player, amazon player, Spotify and, right now, mp3 player, with the booklet killing my eyes reading the lyrics while listening through the album. Still a pleasurable way to get to know this album.

I'm so happy now to see Liam is finally back to where he belongs to and having his album in my hands and listening to all these songs. We'll get Noel's 3rd album next month. What a great year for us, Gallagher fans.
