Just saw that Alan Walker is on the same day on main stage. I just hope that Alan Walker will be before Liam so all teenage EDM fans can get as far as possible from the stage. In 2014 when Damon Albarn played there the atmosphere got ruined by people waiting for Skrillex I know what you mean. My only time watching Noel play live was at Kollenfest in Oslo, Norway in 2012. Everyone seemed to be waiting for Rihanna to play after NGHFB, so it made for a really awkward atmosphere for us who initially were really excited and wanted to sing along to the songs. Wish I had went to the gig he did in Copenhagen instead.

It's looking like kasabian will headline Reading. Hopefully see Liam as well on the same bill

Oooh. Maybe Andy Bell'll join Liam on stage for a rousing rendition of fan favourite, 'The Beat Goes On'... Here's hoping...

Bonobo's playing live, is he? That's good of him. Performing his own stuff as opposed to a DJ set.

Leeds / Reading just added Kasabian.
Surely Liam is a good bet for that too?

Always get bad luck at v! I've had some really bad experiences at V. All brought on by me being a lightweight though ;-) There is definitely a Gallagher curse at V, 2/3 times that I have gone hoping to see a Gallagher it has resulted in failure. I also missed the 2005 gig due to the fact that I didn't start routinely going until 2006, which has supposed to be a tour highlight. The last ever Oasis gig was also at V in Staffordshire 2009 (had they stuck together for one more I would have witnessed the final gig). The only success I have had over the years was seeing Noel in 2012 before the Stone Roses headlined. I live less than an hours walk away from V in Chelmsford hence why I used to go most years, the festival has been shit for a long time now however which is a shame as I've seen loads of decent bands and artists play over the years.

I find this a very interesting strategy from Liam. Loads of festival dates have been confirmed before a word has been even announced about his solo album and own tour, has that ever happened before in the Oasis camp? It seems like he's doing the opposite to Noel, announcing it as late as he can, get a single out and ride the buzz surrounding him until the album drops a few weeks later instead of waiting months between the first single and album. Definitely the way to go I think.

Oasis were always months before.

My Dad was in a local band in the 60s and says his band took pride that they'd buy the new Beatles single in the morning, rehearse in the afternoon, and proudly play it in the pub gig that evening! Simpler times... ;D

What a bummer, despite reports in the Scottish press, he confirmed on twitter he's not playing Glasgow TRNSMT festival after all.
