Hi, I've just bought a new Mac. Right up until my last one died on me I was using Mac the Ripper and MPEG Streamclip to get content from DVDs that I could then re-edit using iMovie.
Now I've got Final Cut Pro but Mac the Ripper and MPEG Streamclip no longer seem to work as they're both outdated (and the MPEG-2 component you need to make MPEG Streamclip work is no longer available).
I think I can get VOB files using Handbrake but Final Cut won't accept VOB files so what's the best way to convert these and which is the best format to convert them to in order to maintain quality?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks, that looks exactly what I was looking for. Would you say DV would be the best format to convert in order to retain as much quality as possible?
