Harry Kewell is poised to reveal his future club. Reports says he is set to sign for boyhood favourite club Liverpool. Blackburn have successfully sold David Dunne to Birmingham in a deal just under £4m. THey are straight after a replacement in Aussie, Bret Emerton. New Chelsea chairman, a Russian billionaire, (whos name i can't pronounce let alone spell) has had bids rejected of £30m for both Everton wonderkid Wayne Rooney, and Allisrando Nesta. (SoccerAge.com also say they are after Thierry Henry) Arsenal's Patrick Viera is stalling on a contract renewal while defender Oleg Luzhney is about to sign for promoted Wolves.

[/img] Macclesfield have brought David Flitcroft
Remember seeing Emerton playing on telly for Austrilia a few years back and thought he was really good. Be able to see him play more now hes in the premiership. David Flitcroft signed from Rochdale and now is Macc captain. A lot is expected from him this season. Have a funny feeling Macclesfield will get promoy=ted again this season, Division 3 always tricky to predict, think Yevoil will go up as well.

Work permit paves way for move to Manchester United
FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) -- MetroStars goalkeeper Tim Howard has received his English work permit, clearing the way for his transfer to Manchester United.
Howard, who played all three games for the United States at last month's Confederations Cup in France, planned to fly to England on Sunday, take his physical Monday morning and then sign his contract with the team, among the biggest in soccer.
Howard had been linked to the Premier League champion for months. He played Saturday in a 3-3 MLS tie between the MetroStars and the New England Revolution.
"It's great for me," Howard said after the game. "I just need to get better and work harder. If I get to start some games, that's great. If I'm a reserve in some games, that's great."
Howard's work permit, which was difficult for Manchester United to get because he does not have enough national team appearances under English labor rules, was granted after the team appealed to the British labor board.
After Saturday's MLS game, Howard said Manchester United coach Alex Ferguson called him Friday with the news.
"I was so happy. It's been a long time, and I feel so fortunate. Not many people get the opportunity that's been given to me. I feel blessed," Howard said.
Manchester United has a four-match tour of the United States scheduled this month, and Howard could make his first appearance for the team in his home country.
"I just need to keep improving myself," he said. "Obviously, the national team is a big issue and I need to be playing and getting better."
Howard, 24, debuted with the MetroStars in 1998.
American goalkeepers have found success in European soccer. Brad Friedel of England's Blackburn Rovers was voted the best at his position last season by players in the Premier League. Kasey Keller, the starter for Tottenham Hotspur, has also played in Spain.

Are the Black Cats gonna have a team next season DS? The players seem to be going out at a rapid rat at the mo. ;D i sure hope we do! i've bought a season ticket! we have a set group of players who will be here next season, and another set who may be here, but who we're trying to sell. McCann, Sorenson, Phillips are all on the available list. Craddock wasn't - but because of our big debts, we had to sell him As for claudio reyna - no price has been discussed yet, but personally i think it would be disgraceful if we let him go for anything less than £3million.($5million) Reyna has stated his desire to stay at sunderland, but if a good, premiership club offered him the same salary as he gets at sunderland- he may leave

wow gary breen - i'm so excited oo and Jeff whitley! can't forget him i hope they do well for us though, i always give new players a chance no matter how shit people think they are ;D everyone deserves a chance as for Phillips - his heart hasn't been at the club these last 2 seasons. its sad coz he's an absolute legend and should have been playing for england alongside Owen if things had gone better for him. The club has gone into freefall and taken Phillips with it. he needs to move to rejuvinate himself Reyna is the man for us!! he'll get us promoted single handed
