I watched Maine Road and Gmex tonight and you've gotta say that the Liam Gallagher at that time really was just the ultimate rock and roll star and also his voice was un-paralleled.
Nobody ever really came close to the passion he showed on Be Here Now @ Gmex or Cast No Shadow @ Maine Road. Not even anywhere near two of Oasis' best songs but in these performances he realy just was the ultimate rock and roll star and had the voice and swagger to back up every single word.

I think my generation from 2014 shows Liam could probably pull off one last great gig to do 90s Liam some justice.
problem with Liam is that hes been going for so long doing average or below average performances that most people forget how good he was once.

I assume you're referring to his tambourine escapades for the first video

Is the butler in the first video the only black man ever to be onstage with Oasis?

Ive said it before and ill say it again. Gmex was a pretty boring show compared to other gigs from 1997. They were on best behaviour by the looks of it

GMEX just happens to be the best known/filmed BHN gig, I agree other performances such as Earl's Court or Rosemont Horizon are probably better.
