So now we know this is called "Bold" and will indeed be on Liam's new album.
I know we already have a thread but it will be interesting to get everyone's updated opinion on it and if you are excited to hear a studio version of it.
I'm really excited to hear this I have to say, really think it could a great song if recorded and produced right in the studio.
Got a lot of potential.

I'm with you, will be interesting if it finds its way on the album and how it will sound then. If Liam then reissues his solo "It's official I'm a c..t" in 2037 he can put that version on the extra disc.

Its a great song. If the album has more of this, then its going to be biblical.

I definitely like it. Some alright lyrics and a great melody.
With the right production it could be a really great track. Personally I'd love something similar to BWTB. All I'm hoping for is that someone helps Liam cut down on the repetitive endings. Sure , it can work for one or maybe two songs on a record, but we all know he's got a real fondness of that sh*t and my worst nightmare (exaggeration alert) is 50 minutes of music where 20 of those minutes are basically two-three words repeated over and over again.

Just hope the "drummer" in that video sits at home in a corner crying about his performance.

It's the kind of song that Liam does best (see I'm Outta Time and BWTB) but it sounds somewhat unfinished. The chorus sounds more like a bridge, I think he should develop it a bit (even IOT's chorus is on the short side as the melody resolves too quickly). But it has potential.

Any audio-heads any good at removing crowd noise? davidjay!? Hi mossy. Just listened to the recording - it's mono, which I believe would make it more difficult to remove crowd noise. Sometimes if the crowd noise is mainly in the sides of a stereo mix, it can be reduced by listening to the mid component in isolation. I think you'd need a spectral extraction program (like Audionamix's ADX) to remove the crowd noise on this recording. Unfortunately these programs are way beyond my ability and budget. I think it would be very tricky even then, as there are multiple voices occupying the same frequency spectrum as Liam's vocal. Just my 2p's worth - would welcome any other comments & suggestions on this. Interesting vid here on how engineers working on the soundtrack for Inception isolated parts from a mono recording of Edith Piaf.

Can't really judge a half-finished song that is being performed drunkenly in a bar.

It's decent. He's written much worse. I say keep it under 3 minutes and you have a tune worth listening to again and again.

That clip has perpetually come off as supremely average. Even with great production and better songwriting, to me it could be a good b-side, maybe an album track at best.
What I will say, even with this clip,is that I hope Liam does push himself toward ballads more. Ballads work better for his voice and he's not a great at writing rock tracks. If he has an album full of Ballads with only a couple rock tracks at most, then it could be a successful album. He just shouldn't do rock because he's Liam Gallagher and that's what the general public expect from him. For once, release the best songs possible no matter of perception.

Do you think Liam will release 7'' singles? Or b-sides? Well, beady eye did release b-sides too. At times those b-sides were better than the album tracks. However, for BE they did decide to forgo b-sides in exchange for bonus tracts. So it could go either way honestly. I'm not sure a Liam Gallagher b-side has the same selling point as a Noel b-side, even now. I wouldn't be surprised if he went with the bonus track thought process. That, or maybe only have b-sides for the first two singles, and have any other extra tracks as bonus tracks. This is all assuming he has enough songs worthy of being recorded. We're still not sure how much writing Liam actually does, or how prolific his writing schedule is. It could be that he barely has enough songs for a full length album. Then again, he might have plenty songs from over the years. The latter might be more surprising because with the pace Beady Eye were releasing songs, one would think most if not all of Liam's best songs went to there. Still, one never knows.

I think the song is pretty average...so not bad but not great either. I think he can do a lot better. This sounds like a mix of his other ballads.
I know Liam's not great at writing rock songs but I think his voice is better at delivering them. A good partner will be helpful to develop the tunes.
I would love to hear Mick Jones produce the album...I think it was him who did the first Libertines album. And as I said before, I've always thought a early Clash type song would be great for Liam.
But "bold" in this case likely means...(Dare I say it) strings. The Beat Goes On?

This bar version is already more deep than any NGHFB or BE tune I've heard...

Didn't you do a good cover of this song shortly after this video appeared online? If the song is titled 'Bold', I imagine a fair bit of work has been done to it since and we may get another chorus / re-working of the lyrics.

"Bold" sounds like a great track. This one has single potential if well produced.
