Let's remember one of the best goals ever scored. Wenger always wanted the perfect goal, and he got it. #Wilshere

Arsenal vs. Hull - Pre-match thought and concern:
What the utter fuck is Wenger doing with this lineup? We might as well have signed nobody. I can't defend this utter idiocy. Seriously, what the fuck?

Between tonight (Basel) and the Chelsea match, this is an Arsenal team that has finally clicked. Immense passing. We haven't been this good in years. Not to mention the squad depth this season, of course. matt

again...what depth?! youre using sanchez as a striker already. and the D is no deeper than the starters. solid midfield tho...and they are playing very well. but injuries will highlight the lack of depth. as usual.

How many goals has Sanchez scored so far this season? I agree, he's not a striker but he has been producing. What more could you want? And we're loaded with CDs as well. Perez and Giroud options up front. Alexis and Walcott if needed, as well. I'm well pleased with what we have to work with. Still think Citeh will walk the league, though.

Didn't watch it, with all the hubbub around the East End of Glasgow, I was watching the Celtic game instead.
But I watched highlights, and the passing was excellent - you'd be forgiven for thinking Guardiola was managing in North London rather than toiling away at Parkhead. Classic Arsenal and classic Wenger, but how many times have we seen these purple patches?

One Arsene Wenger, there's only one Arsene Wenger.....
He's been managing Arsenal since October 1st, 1996, when I was 8 years old. And will be retiring as I approach 30, if not even older should he extend his contract further. There's a generation of Arsenal fans, myself included, who cannot remember, or even fathom, an Arsenal without Arsène Wenger at the helm.
Very much #WengerIn #Respect

Still think Citeh will walk the league, though. yes, sanchez has been great, but versatility doesnt mean depth. its actually anti-depth. if sanchez gets injured, youve now lost a winger, AM & back-up striker. same issue with walcott, except hes also one of the most over-rated players of this generation. depth implies quality. perez is unproven & giroud is alright, but hes 2nd tier. every other top 6 team has at least one striker miles ahead of giroud. who are all these CDs youre talking about? once you get past the starters, its a very steep drop off in quality. cant complain about that midfield tho. and if by some miracle the whole team can stay away from injuries (or at least too many at once), then they got a shot. otherwise, and far more likely, itll be the same as always.

Stat of the Day: Arsene Wenger would be the greatest manager in Arsenal's history even if he lost the next 100 games in a row.

Swansea (H) - Middlesbrough (H) - Sunderland (A)
Piece of piss. We really should be looking at a maximum return of 9 pts. But being realistic, I'll throw a draw in there and say we come away with 7 pts. Anything less would be a disaster.

Beady’s Here Now do you think Arsenal has a realistic chance for winning the league?

Currently looking good, however traditionally Nov has always been a poor month results wise.
See how we are by Xmas before any wild predictions are made.

Arsenal 6-0 Ludogorets. Pure class.
We've got Ozil Mesut Ozil. I just don't think you understand. He's Arsene Wenger's man, he's better than Zidane. We've got Mesut Ozil.

Every year I think 'I think Arsenal could do something'. I'm in that phase at the moment! The last month they've been the best team in England but these are phases that constantly occur even in their most fallow years. Then it collapses spectacularly in March.
But I do think players like Xhaka, Elneny and Mustafi have given them that bit more backbone than previous years. Who knows, we'll only be able to have expectations next year and get over that spring hurdle they usually trip over.
Premier League is wide open though - even Man Utd aren't that far behind in 7th, despite all the criticisms they've received.

My updated top 4 considering Arsenals form: 1. City 2. Arsenal 3. Spurs 4. Liverpool I'd be moving them further down the pecking order. This is vintage Arsenal, the more carried away the fans get the harder they fall. I'll go early Feb for the inevitable bottle job and free fall down the table.

We are winning folks, and we're going to continue to win. We're going to win, it's going to be YUGE. The Premier League is big league, and we're winning big league. Our defense is going to build a wall, and Stan Kronke will pay for that wall. Kronke will pay. And the wall is going to be so big that our foes will no longer be able to defeat us. Have you seen Mertesacker? He's like 7 feet tall, he's like Big Bird - perhaps even slower than Big Bird, but nothing will get past Per. Nothing. And Jose Mourinho? I don't know Mourinho. I'm not Mourinho's best friend. Jose Mourinho called me a puppet the other day. Puppet? No he's the puppet. And even he outsmarted Roman Abramovich. And that Eva Carneiro is such a nasty woman. But I have the most respect for women - have you seen Alexis' wife? She's an 8, or even a 9 on a good day. Gone are the dark days of the last 10 years. We had some bad hombres in our squad - Denilson? Bendtner? Al-mun-i-a? Our best players were being sucked out of our squad and our chances of success were forever dying. They have been going to Citeh, to overseas competitors like Barcelona, and even teams in Chyna. And fourth place - that was so bad! so sad! So very sad! That was no trophy! It didn't help that we had the worst policy ever enacted in our history - Financial Fair Play has been a catastrophe. We need to repeal and replace FFP so our economy can compete with the Champions League clubs once again. The next manager is what it's all about and last season's second place is under such trauma. And don't forget folks - the Premier League is rigged. FIFA, UEFA, and the FA are all corrupt. Sepp Blatter should be in jail for what he did. I, on the other hand, I will make Arsenal great again, and I will lift the real trophies again! ====== Oh dear, what have I done matt?
