might just be the strength of the squad and the manager. You're a United fan of course you're going to say that. Maybe you'll have a different view when Liverpool walk all over them next game. United's team balance isn't right. They've made good signings like Bailly, Pogba and Mkhitaryan but an injury to the defence and they're in trouble. It already seems a bit dodgy. There's the 'Rooney' factor where he shouldn't be near the team but I have a feeling he'll come back and slow things up big time. The manager is a bit tainted I feel from the last spell at Chelsea and I think the aura has dimmed a little bit. Lost the last 16 of 33 games or something a long those lines. The europa league is grueling which will effect the league campaign and basically the fact that City and Spurs are better teams so therefore will finish above them. Europa league has 2 more games than the champions league so is not a massive disadvantage. When we beat Liverpool you will be the one with a different view. As for Spurs they are a very good team but they are yet to show the mental strength when the pressure is on at the end of the season. You are right about Rooney when Mkhitaryan is fit Rooney should begin to find it hard to make the bench.

Europa league is a massive disadvantage as you're playing on Thursday nights instead of Tuesday/Wednesday nights. Much more difficult when you have a Saturday match, innit. If Citeh doesn't win this league, it will be an embarrassment on their part. They have no excuse. (Spurs totally outplayed them last weekend, mind). Liverpool and Spurs are flattering to deceive. Man United are very much beatable. There's something still very off with Chelsea (and I'm not sure what). It's Citeh's league. Oh, and anyone who has Arsenal out of the top 4 is having a laff. I expect us to kick on in some fashion this season. Made a decent start, mind.

You do not play on a Saturday after a Thursday night Europa League match, it is only a minor disadvantage when compared to teams in the Champions League.

Mourinho's a fraud. A cashed up Tony Pulis... A fraud that has gone into 3 semifinals of the CL and won that throphy in two different leagues. Yeah, he lost 4-0 but also Pep did the same with City. However, Mou has had a worst start than Moyes.

However, Mou has had a worst start than Moyes. His gamestyle and tactics worked years ago but he's really starting to struggle. He looks tired and not up for it anymore. Spending that much money on great attacking players yet settling for park the bus tactics is discgraceful. It's not even working anymore.

I'm still trying to figure out the Leicester's last season's aberration. Like, it had more to do than just the big clubs underperforming. And they have now reverted back to the norm this season.
It literally doesn't make any sense.

Watching Arsenal vs. Stoke.
I can only catch the first half, so I hope we do the business early. If we win by two or more goals, we go top of the league for at least 24 hours, as Chelsea don't play until tomorrow.
We now head into the busy holiday period of football. I love this time of year where we're playing every few days.
Come On You Gooners!! #COYG

John Stones is an appalling footballer. 100%, strangely pointing out the obvious in this instance feels like you a breaking a taboo.

This is a direct repeat of the 2014/15 season. Chelsea will be runaway winners. Piss poor. I have no hope of getting any kind of result tomorrow.

I'm actually surprised how quiet this thread has been.
At the midway point, this has been the best season in several years. Look at that top 6!
Oh and fuck Chelsea. Always fuck Chelsea.

Big day in the Prem today.
Obviously Arsenal need to smash Watford.
And if Liverpool can take some points off of Chelsea, it will be game on.
Another Chelsea win, though, and the league is heading to them for sure.

A Liverpool win would be nice later today (vs Spurs) In all honesty, if any of the surrounding teams are still in contention, then surely we are too considering we have around the same points as our immediate competitors. (Mind you, I think 12 pts adrift is too much, especially with a strong Chelsea, but just stating a fact above.....) matt, et. al.

Nah, at the moment it's a massive fight between Arsenal, City, Spurs, Liverpool and Utd as to who can squeeze in the top four. No chance Chelsea are going to lose. It's all about whose going to miss out, and at the moment I'd say Liverpool even if Klopp did punch above their weight earlier this season (really, on paper, they don't have that good a squad - the others quality will shine through in the end I think).
