I've tried to play something but it's been a fucking pain. My calluses have worn off after one week of swimming and without playing guitar.

I'm just starting on my calluses, at times my fingers go blue from the pressure. If I ever feel like garroting someone, I'll just use my high E string. Would probably cut the head clean off, bloody hell.

I don't know why but Rocksmith says I'm missing half of the notes when I play Wonderwall. Fucking load of bollocks because it sounds really good when I play it.

Turn all the knobs on the guitar to the max if you didn't try that already. Yeah I've done that. The game might have different chords or something. I don't even look at the chords because the song is stuck in my head. Em7->G->Dsus4->A4sus7.

Em7->G->Dsus4->A4sus7. pause the game and see of the tuner is detecting notes it shouldnt(my guitar goes a bit sharp with the capo). There will be a new update on october it seems. I like 2 maybe 3 of those new songs.

I just ordered my Real Tone cable for 28ish GBP. Free shipping from Australia. Hope they don't ask me for my first born (not that I will ever give birth) or a kidney. I can't bloody wait! Now I just gotta keep my eye out for the steam sale to GET ALL THE DLCS.

I'm suddenly scared of what will wait for me at the post office. (And, yes, those last three were all rather disturbing and painful looking penis oriented sex toys.)

I must say I'm kinda disappointed by Rocksmith. I've had loads of fun playing emulated bass, it's forcing me to practice selective picking. But the way they handled introducing chords after increasing the song level on rhythm guitar path is infuriating. Difficulty 40 - strumming low E over and over, 41 - EVERYTHING IS CHORDS BUT I AM NOT PREPARED. I can't for love of me figure out they are marking chords at all, I can't tell which strings to strum and which not.

I guess it would be frustating if you get RS as your first teacher, however I like the approach of playing everything leveled up but on a slower speed. Songs I tried to learn with RS to learn the way of chords: the chord 101 lesson Karma Police, Losing My Religion, Taken For a fool and the Ramones one.

I'm kinda stubborn so I just got a bunch of Oasis CDLDs (waiting for a steam sale to buy the Oasis official DLC) and I can't be bothered to do anything else But my problem is the chords they use. It seems they are trying to avoid higher strings in lower difficulty so the chords come out really weird. I mean, I can play Songbird already but those chords they are using are madness. Do they really expect my hand to be limber enough to reach over 5 freaking frets when I'm a supposed beginner, I'm not bloody Slenderman! For now, I'm just completely avoiding chords, instead just concentrating on developing muscle memory to be able to easily find my frets and my strings. All the song I've been playing before RS were on two frets and incorporated just mindless strumming of all 6 strings (*khmSongbirdkhm*) with occasional muting of the low E. What I do like about RS is the immediate feedback on my playing, even though it's been skipping notes for some reason, I'm gonna try and blame it on my technique though and practice more! And do you ever have a glitch where there is no sound from the guitar in-game and the little thing at the bottom showing you which note you played is stuck on some random note and isn't moving even if you play something else? And what about you, @driver7?

And what about you, @driver7 ? I haven't got any glitches so far. I'm not quite sure what you meant with the chords. Do you mean barre chords or open chords? I don't really like how the game tries to make chords easier at lower difficulties so I just open riff repeater and change difficulty higher. I'd recommend learning chords outside the game first, after you've learnt them and their names you can you use the game to practice chord changes. Do you know what's the difference between open, power and barre chords? All of them are something you should learn and especially barre chords can be a pain in the arse at first. I can play them but I still struggle to change from open chords to barre chords. WTSMG songs are great for open chords practice. DLBIA has F-barre chord and All Around The World has lots of others if you want to practice them. E. I'd recommend trying Paint It Black and Knocking On Heavens Door also. They have very basic open chords.

They have very basic open chords. I know all about the chords and stuff, however I can't play barre chords, not enough finger strength yet, I'm just a little lady with little weak lady fingers I haven't tried playing power chords yet, because no songs I've been trying to play have them. Like I said, I've been doing easy Oasis (*khmLiam'ssongskhm*) just to kinda learn to control my fingers because they don't tend to listen to what I'm telling them to do, they don't wanna work in unison so they always take their places one after the other which really reduces my speed . I'll just continue practicing songs I've been practicing before RS, but keep using RS as a practice for frets and selective picking. Those little games are useful too. Also, slides are fucking fun! But yes, agreed, about the chords thing. By trying to make them easier, they just confuse those who already know the chords and they're like, what the hell am I playing here. The way they handled chords is really weird, imo. And they should probably show all the special notes (palm mutes, hammer ons and stuff) beforehand, fuck if I will ever remember what all of those little symbols mean. However, I think RS should have some kind of system to use the instrument to control the game. It's really annoying having to reach down to the keyboard just to press space. I'm off to play now, although my fingers are still sore from yesterday's messing around with the slide at the beginning of Rock'n'Roll Star

I decided to play some Oasis on rhythm (played every E-standard song I had once) Here's my lead path so far.

sufuking perbley @driver7 Whenever you guys get the upgrade, let's show the statistics in here? :-D I honestly don't play much lately. I mostly use my real tone cable as a regular cable, since my actual regular cable makes a lot of wayward noise. But Rocksmith doesn't really work for me as a learning tool, I imagine it's gonna come a lot more handy when I get some more practice with the guitar in general. And honestly, it's getting so cold in here, it makes doing anything with my hands pretty hard, I admit I haven't played my guitar in like two weeks and probably won't until my parents finally decide to start heating T_T So my statistics would show barely anything
