Definitely Columbia.
But love the live version of Be Here Now.

Columbia.
Is this even a serious question? Who the fuck is voting for Be Here Now? Really.

Yeah I like BHN and everything, but this shouldn't even be a thread.

Be Here Now has that special madferit spirit. And a flushing toilet at the end. #obviouswinner

I do like Be Here Now, but Columbia is definitely my favourite out the two, especially actually being one of my favourite oasis songs.
It's menacingly plods along, very loudly. Doesn't overstay it's welcome either. Absolutely rocking tune.

Be Here Now is perfect from start to finish... Columbia isn't. I mean, it's alright, but the the intro (a whole minute) is VERY boring to me. Shorten the solo that lasts from the last verse to the "c'mon yeah yeah yeah" and I might take it. I only listen for the vocal part, otherwise I'd skip it. It's my least favourite song from DM.

Columbia (see signature).
It's a fantastic song that sounds different from everything else on DM, and really almost everything else that Oasis, NGHFB, and BDI have done. Liam sounds great and it's a nice nod to the shoegazing scene, while still having a neo-psychedelic pop element to it that defined the band.

What??
That intro of Columbia is fucktastic, Owen Morris captured well a druggy hazy atmosphere and put it into a record, that building up it's one of the best thing on it, it made you feel that you were there at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in 1993 watching them.

Love both but Columbia is history.

Anyone else think this is a bit of an arbitrary comparison? The two songs are very different in mood and structure. One is a all-out rocker with a wicked keyboard riff, the other a madchester dance-rock groove that could conceivably last forever. Their only similarity is the "come on, come on, yeah yeah yeah!!" chant/screaming at the end.

Columbia is one of the most underrated tracks...BRMC songs remind of this, very dark sounding rock. You can imagine being taken to a different place. Some amazing love versions of this song...love the Glasgow barrowlands 2002/3??
BHN I love and think it's a great opener live and intro suits coming on stage. It hasn't the depth of Columbia, but it's uplifting and kind of swaggers along nicely

Imagine if Columbia was recorded during the BHN sessions....
I would kill to hear that 20 minute groove monster.

THE BEST LIVE VERSION OF COLUMBIA. The passion throughout, is immense and then we reach Noel's "Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs." Can't top this.

Other than that, they're completely different

Love both but 'Be Here Now' is just better in every way. I think it's fitting that it's the title track because it sums up the album pretty well in that it's so fucking outrageous and over the top. Liam's vocals are superb in it as always and it's just a rocking tune, listen to it loud and you'll agree with me.

live versions Id say be here now, just a great opener, columbia sounded good in the 90s but then they slowed it down from 01 onwards and it sounded boring. Bang on
