I'm listening to the self-titled album in full for the first time in a couple of years. The outro on Dream On really does just go on forever, doesn't it?

The last few weeks I’ve been coming back to Noel’s “wandering star” quite a bit. It started when I began communicating with this girl I was going to go out on a date with as something in a comversation ticked that lyric “whatever the cat drags in/ belongs to us.” I’ve always felt it was just an okay song, kind of an inferior version of “If love is the law” but lately it’s just hitting the right spot and many of the lyrics make me feel so understood lately, in the way that Noel, Liam, Oasis always do. I watched the 2019 Jools Holland performance of it (it’s live debut I think) and it nearly brought out all the emotion that’s been packed so tightly down for the last while so I can keep on. Felt dangerous to let it out at a deep level but I was home, it was safe. Still nothing came out. I felt it deeply. /overshare? Anyway, this is what I’m talking about: Hey mkoasis, you don't need to feel like oversharing, that very live performance hit me in a similar way when it came out in late 2019. I suppose I was in a similar situation back then. However, the song definitely takes on another level in this performance. From time to time I keep coming back to it. The studio version is just underproduced dullness and deserved the backlash. I love the dynamics in here, the Roxys and especially Gem - I've never seen someone strumming a guitar so effortlessly cool .

This has been the tightest it has ever been with Record Store Day leaked information. List comes out Thursday and so little has been revealed. I hope Noel or Oasis take part.

Another terrific rendition of an Oasis classic that turns it into something different. I know Noel loves LBL and it always gets a great reaction at gigs but SCYHO like this should be a setlist regular too, or at least alternated with LBL.

Those SCYHO performances are really, really good. Jess stays too much in the background. Most of the times you can't even hear her. Come on Noel, let her sing!

I'm really looking forward to Noel's acoustic album. Right in his wheelhouse

I'd love if Noel followed up the acoustic album with a big rock album with lots of electric guitar. Or at least SOME electric guitar.

While promoting Council Skies, Noel said he had 2 albums of material. One would be acoustic and the other was a big guitar anthem album. I’d much prefer that to be honest.

And the rock album will sound "like Frank Zappa playing mah-jong with Mia Khalifa during the punk era".

Current status: Sitting in a bar in Las Vegas, as you do, and am wearing a NGHfB shirt.
Bartender said “woah, I used to tour with Noel!”
I haven’t yet been able to get anything else out of him. But I’m so curious.

Black Keys dropped a new song today. Is it one of the songs Noel co-wrote?

On this day in 2012 Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds released Dream On as a single which is one of Noel's worse songs in my opinion.

What's everyone's opinion on WBTM and the 3 EPs? I personally love them. Holy Mountain, This is the Place and The Man Who Built the Moon are top tier.

The EPs are a bit hit and miss: for instance I think 'A Dream is all I need...' is one of his best solo songs and 'Black Star Dancing' one of the worst. But that's what happens when you try something different, so all good to me
