When Oasis ended, the band ended with an album that should and could have been better.
Both Beady Eye and Noel, whichever you prefer, put much more effort into making their own respective efforts than Dig out Your Soul. Whether it was Noel putting songs like High Horse Lady on instead of the plethora of songs he had for HFB, or whether it was Liam's laziness in going off to get married when songs were ready to be produced. BOTH gallaghers had become very complacent and somewhat arrogant about Oasis and their fanbase.
That in itself is fundamentally wrong. If you are asking me would i have liked a new Oasis album with EOTR and You Know We Cant Go Back sung by Liam and 11 songs brilliantly picked from the best of what we have heard since the split, then of course, and it would be a true worthy follow up to the first two. Would be have got it? Of course not.
The questions will however never go away. Theres Noel songs ive listened to and i think this is fucking amazing. But then i think why the fuck did you never record this with Oasis and leave us to listen to some of the shit youve put on albums. I dont think that question will ever go away now, no matter what Noel produces, theyl always be the what if Liam was singing. Noels act on stage is becoming tiresome for me at least. And i hate Liams voice going to waste in pubs in ireland.

I think there are more reasons to reform than not to. Also i would love to see them once again live and hope for one more classic, great Oasis album that blows my head off.
Having said that, IF they ever reunite they must do it for the right reasons. Money isn´t one of them. They need to be a "gang" again or atleast friends (especially Liam and Noel). They need to enjoy working together, no matter if in the studio or onstage. If that isnt the case than they rather should leave it.
I enjoyed the gigs at Wembley Stadium on their last Tour, but not cause of the brilliance and charisma they once had onstage. I enjoyed them just cause it was Oasis, just cause it was people singing in pubs songs by them hours before the gig, just cause of singing along while the Band is doing nothing more than their job without any joy.
Album-wise it´s the same if they ever release one. They should put on the Album the best songs they have instead of holding back some stuff for another solo-album or whatever. I think Liams voice was great on BE, thats what i expect from him on an Oasis album too.
So to make it short, either do it right or dont do it at all.

To be honest that will be the only reason for a reunion, if one happens at all. Noel seems perfectly happy recording and touring as a solo artist, and I can't see him putting nothing but his best songs into a new Oasis LP given he failed to do this when he was in the band and not a solo artist more often than not. With the friends or gang style lineup that is as much dependent on what a promoter is demanding in exchanges for millions of pounds upfront as it is the band, and tbh if I was the one taking the risk I would go down the way of "As long as the two brothers are on stage, you can have whoever on the remaining roles", promote it as Oasis shows and watch it sell out (As a side note he may have been just hedging his bets, but Noel on Talksport in July this year stated he had never had a hard offer for an Oasis reunion since the split). The aforementioned scenario might not appeal to the diehard fans or those with favourite lineups, but to alot of people including those who went to alot of the non-UK shows Oasis were Noel and Liam. I have fond memories of Oasis gigs stretching back to the nineties, which on a personal note I am happy with and wouldn't go myself to see a cash in tour. That said I wish nothing but the best to both the band and fans who would go if a reunion ever goes ahead

That said I wish nothing but the best to both the band and fans who would go if a reunion ever goes ahead Yeah, I guess you´re right but as I said if money is the only reason for Noel to do something under the Oasis name again he just shouldn´t (Although of course i would be the first one to get Tickets or an Album or whatever they do). But then again Noel is a pride man and although he already did hold back songs for his Soloalbum, why shouldn´t he want it to be a huge single/album IF they bring out anything new? I didn´t actually meant a special line-up, I´m sure it would be with Andy and Gem plus Chris or Zak. I meant they should like to be in a studio or onstage together, not like the last tour when especially Noel and Liam looked like they didn´t even know themselves why they are there with the other one. They should enjoy doing this. As for a "wish" I´d love them doing 10 or so big Shows in the UK with guest appearences of all the Ex Members (well don´t mind about Scott McLeod cause to me he was never really a Member). Even if it´s just knocking out IATW with 4 Drums, Guigsy on Bass, and 4 Guitars really loud and big. But knowing Oasis it will maybe be a guest appearence by Bonehead at one Show. Anyway only time will tell, Noel is happy at the moment with his solo stuff, Andy is touring with Ride, Gem i have no idea and Liam is hopefully working on something new. Also the split just happened 6 years ago, i can´t see them coming back together before at least 10 years passed since then. So bring out the BHN Reissue and the Knebworth DVD that i can spend some more money on that fucking Band

Well, hearing how Noel recently made a few snide remarks about the co-writers of the Oasis album ("Oasis were at their best when I wrote everything" and other remarks in the same vein) and seeing how much success he has now, I doubt that even if they'll make up, Noel will be content with taking a step back. Maybe if he ever grows really tired of his solo career, which I don't really see happening in the forseeable future. Well why didn't he continue writing everything then? Oh I know the answer to that, its because depending on which day of the week it is depends on whether he was 'the chief' and dictator who single handedly steered them to mega success or he's the weak democrat who felt pressure to put there songs on. All the while ignoring the the fact that between 2000-2005 he was pretty average.

Just stating the facts here.
I do think that what he meant by that was that DM, MG and BHN were the best three albums (or maybe not the latter, since he's not very fond of that). I do have to say I agree with that. SOTSOG and HC may not have been the best, but I can't say Hung In A Bad Place, Better Man and A Quick Peep have necessarily made HC an excellent album.

Adding 'The Roller' onto Heathen Chemistry would've made it the best album in the last 50 years... God bless.

They might have been better than what he had. With Noel putting three massive turds on there (FON, SIL, PAITM) it doesn't suggest that he had much that was worthy lying around. And if he did, we need to ask 'Chief' Noel when that personality next appears why they weren't.

Indeed. The only thing I actually trust about Noel Gallagher these days is that he did in fact spend a night drinking with Russell Brand and Morrissey.

I don't really give a fuck. The fact he writes great songs that I enjoy and has a pleasant voice are the foremost reasons I'm a fan. The fact he's hilarious is just a bonus. I wouldn't ever take his word for gospel and personalities don't really bother me unless someone is a neo nazi or anything radical like that

It’s alright. I’m already saving up for it, and the next Noel gig which I now have to get three tickets for.
