21269. I wonder if today's been a mistake for me. See, I went to a rave on saturday and I stayed till the end to help the organisers who I've been befriending with this summer. But that meant no sleep and we thought fuck it might as well have a wee Sunday sesh because none of us were tired.
I stayed the night at this gaff and tried to sleep when we decided to finish our session. But the problem was that I just couldn't. Now I still haven't slept after being up for two nights but the biggest problem is waiting ahead which is a night shift tonight.
Also I drank a lot these past few dahs and took loads of benzos so now I'm drinking to combat any hangover/withdrawals. Still not tired actually which is a tad surpring but I know I'm now out of stimulants so I don't have any articial energy for use.

21271. I started reading Trainspotting the same morning I decided I'm gonna put a stop to most of my drug use. The parts where they describe the process of shooting up were a little hard to read as it's a process that becomes so rewarding once you get used to it and I already started having second thoughts about this decision. But I think in general the book will also be a good reminder why to stay away from that stuff.
I kept seeing these dreams that I need to stop. Things like my flatmates having an intervention on me and threatening to put me on rehab. Crashing someone's car during some crazy manic episode. Just all kinds of random stuff. I mean, things aren't that bad for me. They aren't bad at all but if I struggle with the idea of stopping now then how will my life be in five or ten years? Certainly not any better.

21272. Listening to Francesco Acquaroli read a story about someone who thought he was Riemann before sleep claims me....are we sure that the author did NOT know my grandfather?

21274. The behavior of afl players impacts kids who copy unsportsmanlike conduct. There is nothing sadder than kids taunting some guy who is already sick at getting beat.- Melbourne Demons forum
Speak for yourselves, Demons. Laughing in Selwood's face is unsportsmanlike. While I don't like Selwood, laughing at him for pointing out a dive (there was) is the same behaviour that you are trying to stamp out, karma will come boys.

21777. I didn't quite realise how big of a summer person I was until now. I saw it happen last year, had a fun summer but then all my social life died and I started feeling real trapped. Now I fear it's happening again, kinda.
Probably not to the same extent but I can already notice the difference. I used to go out almost daily, I was seeing this girl who was really exciting company, my life seemed better than ever... but now it's Saturday and I still haven't left my house for anything else than shopping and work. I hate to fall in this pit of melancholy that just feeds depressing thoughts but I just have no idea how to avoid it. On the other hand, this seems to be the first week without any drugs since the Spring for me so maybe I should allow myself to be a little down this week.
And who knows, it's still early so all kinds of plans might come up. A girl I was seeing at the start of the year messaged me and said she wants to see this weekend so I might message her today. That'd probably help me getting over the other girl coz I feel like that thing isn't ever going to work out (she had just gotten out of a relationship and I feel like I was more like a band aid for her).

Abe and Esther are flying to Australia for a two week vacation to celebrate their 40th anniversary.
Suddenly, over the public address system, the Captain announces, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am afraid I have some very bad news. Our engines have ceased functioning and we will attempt an emergency landing. Luckily, I see an uncharted island below us and we should be able to land on the beach. However, the odds are that we may never be rescued and will have to live on the island for the rest of our lives!"
Thanks to the skill of the flight crew, the plane lands safely on the island. An hour later Abe turns to his wife and asks, "Esther, did we pay our $5,000 PBS pledge check yet?" "No, sweetheart," she responds. Abe, still shaken from the crash landing, then asks, "Esther, did we pay our American Express card yet?" "Oh, no! I’m sorry. I forgot to send the check," she says. "One last thing, Esther. Did you remember to send checks for the Visa and MasterCard this month?" he asks. "Oh, forgive me, Abie," begged Esther. "I didn’t send that one, either." Abe grabs her and gives her the biggest kiss in 40 years. Esther pulls away and asks him, "What was that for?" Abe answers, "They’ll find us!"

21783. Finished Trainspotting and after getting used to both the characters and the language I started enjoying it more and more. It was very relevant to me in many ways too and made me think about some important things.
I will probably buy the rest of the books in the series right away because I'm interested in continuing the series.
