With the Community Shield just one week away, and the Premier League kicking off the following weekend, here's this season's official thread.
I'm expecting a much more exciting season than last. And I'm being very cautious when it comes to making my bold prediction about Arsenal publicly known, so for now I'll just say that I expect Arsenal to mount, and sustain a proper title challenge. Really looking forward to the season, as always. Well up for this.

Questions for the upcoming season:
Have Liverpool and Man Utd bought too much and created squad instability? Are Man Citeh has beens? Are Arsenal gonna bes? And is Mourhino still a massive twat?

Oh how I would laugh if Newcastle were relegated.

Bournemouth will stay up. I can't see why there's all the hate for the cherries too? I think they'll avoid the drop

Just read Cambiasso didn't resign with Leicester. A big loss for them and can see them being in huge trouble this season

Yeah, Leicester are the only team that I'm confident will be relegated. Can't see Ranieri lasting the whole season.

yeah, thats a blow. i hope they stay up tho. developed a soft spot for them during their comeback last season... i predict norwich will have the toughest time out of the new teams. and im quietly thinking villa could be a bit of a dark horse aswell. wouldnt mind seeing watford and bournemouth stick around either. the biggest question for me tho, is will southampton come through yet another re-vamp and be competitive again? if they do, the koeman may become my favorite manager in england.

I think Norwich will do best of the promoted teams. They've got the most premier league experience and I'm a big fan of Alex Neil. I reckon Southampton will be top 10 again too, albeit maybe only 9th or 10th this year. They seem to be taking the Europa League seriously (and rightly so imo) which will have an effect on their domestic form but the squad is still good enough for top 10.

Absolutely amazing job he did at Hamilton and Norwich. Really hopeful for him. Would love to see Bournemouth stay up, hope Leicester go down (though glad that neanderthal Pearson has left). In fact, I'd love to see all the promotion sides stay up, they have all the hallmarks of Swansea - all on the basis of a prudent approach with brilliantly minded young managers who play a progressive brand of football. Excellent for the whole game in general as opposed to the money spinnners that bring down the League in my opinion.

I agree, I'm all for boring dross like Sunderland, Leicester and Villa going down and the three promoted teams staying up. Hopefully they'll all add something a bit different to the league.

norwich might have the most top flight experience, i just meant on paper they look the weakest of the promoted clubs (to me anyway)...or maybe im being bias because i like watford & bournemouth more? i think southampton will compete in the same vein as the last two seasons aswell, but damn, how many times can they lose their core and bounce back?! it puts the top 4's efforts at rebuilding to shame... i remember when big sam said if he were in charge of r.madrid he would win everything, every season. thats a joke, but i almost believe koeman could actually manage it. id prefer sunderland and maybe palace to go down. and i thought villa started playing alright towards the end. again i may be bias due to me liking sherwood...
