Oasis supporting R.E.M. ranks second to NGHFB supporting RHCP for me. I love all four of those acts, and this Slane Castle 1995 gig would've been epic to go to.

Their drummer who quit in 97 or 98 had even more ridiculous eyebrows than the Gallaghers.

For me R.E.M. were over after their drummer went away, because he wasn't only the drummer, he used to be the guiding force behind the band, he wrote many R.E.M. classics.

They still released some pretty solid songs after Berry quit the band. Supernatural Superserious, Imitation of Life, and Bad Day come to mind.

Agree, they made great songs afterwards, but the albums weren't on par.
