Well, Blur were FAR more adventurous musically and Coxon was a better guitarist.....that's 2 reasons. I'll have to think hard and twist some facts around to come up with 3 more.

Think Tank was the best album made by either band.
Other than that Id say Oasis were superior

I dont know if i should be happy they still can sell tickets or just sad that the younger generation or concert goers in NYC in general can see BLUR and NOEL and the sellout crowd combined is 2150 people ....
I know there intimitate gigs , but still gets me depressed , they both deserve AT LEAST RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL ( which is at least 5,000 maybe more )
EDIT I know BLUR was free gig but even if it was a paid , guess webster hall would be there max as well so say 3,000 for two legends ...... where has musical taste gone man

I like "Blerg!" a lot, but there is one defining thing which make Oasis greater than them, Oasis songs resonates deeper, even those great Blur songs doesn't resonate in the same way as the great Oasis song does, no even close to begin with, no wonder Oasis attracted more fans around the globe than Blur.
There are some other things too, Blur never made an album as great as DM or MG, Paklife is great but not on par, also Blur b-sides are not even close to Oasis b-sides, only maybe Young and Lovely which is a great Blur b-side. I will not even mention the cultural impact which Oasis had.
And also some Blur fans should be thankfull to Oasis, many people who knows Blur (mainly outside of UK), knew them because they knew Oasis first, I'm one of them, much because of their rivalry.

Like comparing apples and oranges.
Both are great bands and while I think Blur are far superior to Oasis post 2000 albums, I wish sad hipsters would get over it and stop being smarmy about it.
But at their ultimate peak, it's Oasis - not even close. Once you reach that peak of greatness higher than other bands, you are forever greater than other bands. Even the terrible albums that followed like Heathen Chemistry and Dig Out Your Soul should never tarnish that.

Supergrass is really underrated, yeah. But it seems britpop is getting the praise nowadays, at last 20 years later...
Anyway, Blur & Oasis : Is it ok to like both, or still not ? that was a shit article, not much else to say about that.

Of course it's OK to like them both, and I would say the majority on here do like both of them.
