I'm hoping Noel releases he proposed remix album he was talking about prior to release of Chasing Yesterday. Just hope he doesn't bail on this one too.... Remix *EP* let's not get too carried away now ;-) Well the four remixes he's done so far already total 28 minutes - enough for an EP.

Brilliant. Both remixes ,or deconstructions, done by these guys are great. As Lennon said I am also a big fan of their work on the temples album. Would be great if Noel would put out an album like that, what temples did (think the doctor asked for this already). Doubt it though....
I think this still of deconstruction work better for oasis/Noel fans than some of the other more electronic ones. Although I don't mind those, but I would of hated them when I was 18. I can only imagine that the people who shit on these remixes are young and still radical about the drum, bass and guitar mode, like was at that age.
Anyways, more mixes like this, hopefully an album type thing in the future.
Cheers

Cheers I thought there was a bit too much annoying repetition of the opening vocal lines at the start of their BALLAD OF THE MIGHTY I remix - apart from that slight niggle they've both been great. Would love to hear instrumental versions of these two remixes too. Can you contact them through their site with requests?

I remembered hearing the temples thing they did at a friends house and liking it, then when the BOTMI one came out i checked them on spotify and noticed they had done the temples thing. There isn't much by them on spotify really (atleast not on the third world database I get). Anyone know anymore, have they released a lot of stuff?? Do enlighten us please.

That sounded amazing. The beginning sounds like a badass Noir film soundtrack. I love the sax in this.

I knew about them via Temples and they're "Re-Animation" of Jimi Goodwin's Live Like a River and one or two other mixes. Richard Norris, one half of them, has remixed the Black Rivers track The Forest too and under his other alias The Time and Space Machine he reworked Jetstream by Doves. www.discogs.com/artist/16570-Richard-Norriswww.discogs.com/artist/1137064-Time-Space-Machine-The?noanv=1This is Beyond The Wizard Sleeve's other half, Erol Alkan. He's done a few Chemical Brothers remixes plus others. www.discogs.com/artist/117051-Erol-Alkan?type=Credits&subtype=Remix

This is a great remix. But the outro portion is very skippable. Everything the song had to offer was over by then. They should have cutout the portion after the chorus and before the sax again. It would be perfect.

I'm still really hoping these guys are doing a remix album of Chaing Yesterday. Would love to hear 7-8 songs with this treatment. Maybe Noel would approve of it because it's more remix, less collaboration.

First off that Re-Animation is fucking SUPERB, smooth and catchy and gorgeously produced. Secondly, these should definitely work with Noel on his next album, become honorary high flying birds or something...

I'm thinking tracks they could use would include............
Riverman In The Heat of The Moment Girl With X-Ray Eyes The Dying of The Light The Song Remains The Same Ballad of The Mighty I Do The Damage
I'll shy away from the AA produced tunes. That might create a war.

Thanks for the heads up Jim! Good spotting! I've done crossfade between the start of the regular Wizard's Mix and this instrumental that eliminates the announcer. With Jim's blog gone - what the hell do I do with it? Any (polite) suggestions?
