Haha. It appears Ashley may well still have them by the gonads however.

All I know is that it's been a highly entertaining journey for fans of every other club across Scotland. But enough about Rangers. It's the cup quarter finals, starting with a trip to Dumfries tonight. Two very evenly matched teams but I think we'll squeak it 2-1. How would you rate your chances against Celtic?

If we play anything like we have the last 3 games, we'll get absolutely murdered. Just have to hope the players get a grip again and get fired right into them. Armstrong and GMS cannot play in the cup games, so that's a wee bonus, just a huge pity they won't be lining up in tangerine instead though.

It's no coincidence that their dip in form happened as soon as those two key players left. However, you often find that the occasion of the cup, particularly a quarter final can help teams raise their game against the old firm. If you did pump then out then it would blow the competition wide open.

Right now, I'd take defeat on Sunday for a win next Sunday though.

Well that was certainly the windiest game of football I've ever attended. It must have been absolute brutal to watch for the neutral viewer at home. I couldn't really see it from my vantage point but I've heard the goal from Sibbald was pretty special.
We're into yet another semi and hopefully we won't fuck it up like last time. I'd fancy us against the winners of Hibs/Berwick Rangers. We seem to be Hibs' bogey team this season and it would be good for a bit of revenge as well. If it's Berwick then even better.

Disappointing result for Cowdenbeath today, great chance to bounce back after last week's mauling against a newly promoted team struggling for form.

Insane game of football, had a bit of everything, I have no idea what to make of all the decisions that happened, interesting to see what will happen in the next 3 games though.

A very entertaining game with absolutely no quality on show. United defender really well with 9 men, especially Rado. Deservedly winning MOTM. There's no way Paton should've gone off. A case of mistaken identities with Butcher being the guilty party.
Pleased with the semi final draw as well.

No they haven't. It's also a chance for revenge after that other semi final which I've tried to erase from my memory.

If the ref dealt with Browns horrific two footed challenge in the first place, the melee that caused the two red cards wouldn't have happened. But he didn't, coz he bottled it. Because its's Scott Brown. The captain of Celtic. Who it appears can run around the pitch kicking and elbowing people withou fear of a booking.
But remember folks, all the officials are anti Celtic.

Thomson is an incompetent fud but it was the linesman that got that situation horribly wrong. I'm amazed that Brown escaped the game without any sort of card. The tackle on Ciftci aside, he made about another 8 fouls and I don't think he even got a talking to. For United's penalty, I'm not sure there was a lot of contact but it's always funny to see those sorts of decisions go against Celtic. The fans throwing missiles on to the pitch were absolutely disgraceful. If the ref gives a penalty against Dixon then he has to be sent off. Whether it should have been awarded against him in the first place is a different story. His arm didn't seem to be in an unnatural position although I would be screaming for it if it were against Falkirk. I was surprised to hear Andy Walker say it was a soft penalty. I thought they defended really well and only restricted Celtic to a couple of chances after going down to 9 men but I also thought they looked a bit toothless up front, even at 10 v 10. Hopefully with VVD absent you can go on and beat them in the replay and make a really interesting set of semi finals.

Aye it was the linesman that made a baws of it but if Thomson gave a foul for the Brown challenge then none of that would have happened. Need to see the Dixon handball again but at the time it looked like it was fired at him point blank and he couldn't get his arm out the road. I am completely hoarse from the gig last night and from shouting dogs abuse at Brown for 90 minutes and I also got into a big argument outside the ground with a Celtic fan in a wheelchair. It's been an eventful weekend! Bring on next Sunday.

Hibs look good, I've seen them twice since Stubbs took over - pre-season friendly against us and the League Cup 1/4 Final, he has them playing some really good football and in McGeouch, Allan and Fyvie they have three very good talented young players there.
going back to our game yesterday, Brown committed 11 fouls yesterday apparently and wasn't booked.

I couldn't believe Brown tried to that was a perfect tackle on the news last night. I'm all for a man's game, rough and hard tackling but he was out of control, two feet off the ground and a scissor motion as well. He should be getting cited for that, not boasting about it. How he never got booked that whole game is unbelievable.

I was right behind that tackle and Stokes DID catch him. It's not like Celtic players take any dives eh?

Jim Has Rangers got a full time manager yet? Nah, not yet. There's talk of Stuart McCall coming in till the end of the season and then a permanent manger at the end of the season. Personally, we need a break from ex-players. I'd like a young European based coach who will install a proper passing game from the under 14's up to the first team. You don't need to be a great player to pass a ball properly, just the willingness and correct attitude which very few at Rangers currently have.
