I take it you don't play the guitar then. It starts with an Fm on an acoustic....Wonderwall starts with an F#m on acoustic....That's the only real similarities. Other than that, both very different

I don't think we've heard the last of it yet. But please, stop saying there is "so much more to tell" if you're not going to tell it anyway.

"The type of music your usual run of the mill Oasis fan would label 'fookin weird"
Pretty pathetic if Noel scrapped it because of the reaction it would garner from that section of fans. I think this forum shows that we'd REALLY love to hear it.

Still it's not clear to me,what they're saying is that they were working on some songs and those songs are the ones he used for NGHFB,so they wrote other songs and he used them for this one (The Mexican and The Right Stuff),is this it?

Noel's a p u s s y! Yeah. Also what he says about Noel never telling them anything about the other album or really being straight forward, seems like a recurring thing with Noel. Like he is good at taking control and making big decisions, but shit at dealing with people, avoiding them and doesn't confront them. Certainly seemed that way from reading McCarrolls book. Granted these are other people's account of stories and I don't want analysis a person I don't even know, just seems like a reoccurring thing that people mention about him. Also, while we are at it, Gaz seems like a bit a pussy too. That whole fucking one day I'll tell the whole story is absurd. I don't think he has ever had so much press in his life, when is he going to tell it? When "Pyschedleic Buddle Volume 12: Noel Abused Me" come out and no one gives a shit? Just tell it. Hopefully one day we will hear it. But I get that Noel didn't put it out. Sure in part it cause he is a pussy, but Noel rarely takes a risk and if he isn't a 100% sure I get why he would shelve it. I like the AA a lot, they have some real cool shit. But it does seem to go on a bit and lacks structure, though I soppose that's the point. Cheers.

"We were all over the press with our new vision of psychedelia"
Tbh, I had never heard of them before I got into Oasis.
I do agree about this bit though: "It’s odd because Noel loves the Beatles, the masters of experimentation. But Oasis thought they just needed to sing lyrics of love – it was all surface and no depth. To me, psychedelia isn’t just tasteful songs about the sun and phased guitars; it’s a radical form."
I still really want to hear this album.

From the first paragraph:
"We had remixed the 2009 Oasis single Falling Down and turned it into a 22-minute odyssey, which he loved, and then he invited me to DJ at the afterparty for one of Oasis’s Wembley Arena gigs that October. That’s when we began talking about a solo record."
I think it is important to note here that, according to Garry Cobain, Noel was discussing the prospect of embarking on a solo record while still technically in Oasis. This is news to me.

I have always thought Noel is actually more insecure than he appears to be. That arrogance and confidence is partially just attitude.

Something went wrong obviously, but still Yeah, I think he may have brought it up years before; however, in his public statement, he specifically based his departure from Oasis on his being constantly harassed (presumably by Liam). If Cobain's article is correct, then this increases the likelihood that his primary reason for leaving Oasis was to instead go solo.
