Everyone relax. We all know this will be part of the 10th Anniversary release. It’s the only interesting angle to take when hawking this product in 2 years. Wild. We waited 20 years for the Mustique demos... X

I have absolutely no memory of Freaky Teeth. Couldn't tell you a single thing about it. It was a highlight of the set during the first HFB tour.

I have absolutely no memory of Freaky Teeth. Couldn't tell you a single thing about it. Freaky Teeth is easily my favorite solo Noel tune.

I’m excited to hear We Pursuade Ourselves... after Gaz said that’s how their Everbody on the Run sounded Ah didn’t know he’d said that but the demos of it sound good. It’s going to be an “album length single” before the album comes out. Basically loads of remixes and different versions of the same song mixed together into one long track. X

There’s a mix of it out already, as a bonus download if you buy their calendar...but I can’t quite bring myself to pay $26 to get one song when I don’t really need the calendar.
Hoping it pops up online somewhere but I might eventually relent and buy it anyway out of curiosity

Gaz on Everybody’s on the Run / We Pursuade Ourselves:
“ have no fear the frustrations at that one not being heard and all of the methodology and inspiration of it has gone into our 12 minute epic WE PERSUADE OURSELVES WE ARE IMMORTAL our forthcoming track with Peter Hammill on vocals ... the direction of that will inform you exactly where we went with THAT ONE ! After Falling Down this [everybody’s on the run] was the first track Noel sent over and he hardly gave us a chance to listen but rang consecutive days excited for our response ‘ this one could be epic right ?’ he suggested ... I thought it was a bit conventionally rockish and muscular initially but this changed once we got involved with it and yes was epic by the end . To be fair I quite like what he did with it in the end too , mostly cos I liked the strings and rather than record whole string sections I’d worked with just a cellist and built up a one man orchestra . Hearing the difference this , incidentally was partly why I pushed out beyond my initial solo strings recently for a full string section on WE PERSUADE . Quite an interconnection between the two tracks which is why I say nothing has been lost ... the visions and learning merely applied to other things”

Just imagine Everybody's on the Run (one of my favorite songs on the first album) without the flat Sardy production and more like that Instagram clip above...BANANAS

The AA release a single of “We Pursuade Ourselves...” in the first quarter of 2020 - so we’ll get to hear what Gaz meant when he said their version of EOTR became We Pursuade Ourselves... - really excited to hear it

This is a remixes compilation for RSD. A proper “album length” single is still to follow. Does anyone know if this RSD release has the original version of the track, or is it all just remixes?? EDIT: after some digging I found this tracklist, so I believe the original version is not on this remixes collection. 1. Future Children - "The Lutine Bell" 2. Regal Worm Cs The Amorphous & Dodginess - "Gunter & His Evil Soul Sacrifice Orchestra Play Black Mass A Gogo" 3. Cobalt Chapel - "Hymortality" (part 1) 4. The Amorphous Androgynous - "Physically I'm Here, Mentally Far, Far Away" (Excerpt) 5. Cobalt Chapel - "Hymortality" (part 2) 6. Las Trompas De Falopium - "Somos Inmortales Nos Persuadimosi" 7. Stoned Freshwaters - "Everything Is Easy With A Little Persuasion" 8. Atomic Simao - "Gravity Bong" 9. Richard E Further Out - "Our Dominion" 10. Steve Cobby's Sweet Jesus - "The Persuader" 11. The Amorphous Androgynous - "Synthony On A Theme Of Mortality" (part 2) 12. The Flying White Dots - "Counting Down The Time" (part 2) 13. The Cuckoo Clocks - "Tomorrow, Time & Immortality" X

I have absolutely no memory of Freaky Teeth. Couldn't tell you a single thing about it. Almost a year on, still the case. That and Revolution Song were the most instantly forgettable Noel material of the 2010's, IMO.

I loved the live version of Freaky Teeth, the studio one is a bit meh It was too slow. There was a lack of energy with it. Needed to be in a faster tempo. It was also missing the killer keyboard Mike Rowe did for the live versions.

I've never been a big fan of Freeky Teeth. Infact I've forgotten what it sounds like as I haven't listened to it in a very long time. It's probably one of Noel's most forgettable songs.

I've said it before, but I'm excited to hear this because Gaz said that Everybody's on the Run was kinda the starting point for this track and a lot of the ideas from that went into this. Excited to get an idea of what might have been! The remixes sound sick too, from what I've heard...couldn't get the RSD version here in rural Indiana, but its for sale digitally next weekend on FSOLdigital

Has anybody here heard the new Paul Weller album? There is a track on their called More that sounds close to the sort of sounds I was expecting from this collaboration. In particularly the descriptions that Gaz Cobain has given regarding their original versions of If I Had A Gun, prior to re-working into the Shoot A Hole Into The Sun following Noel's comments on how "out their" this album was.
