that's not the fucking point. Of course it's the fucking point, are you for real or what? It's like criticising Audi for their prices when you can buy T reg Skoda's instead I agree. It's in the same place as Fred Perry. Similar looks, similar quality, similar audience and similar price. You could buy a polo from Primark for £7. Or buy one of the above for £70. Paying for the brand and quality.

It's like criticising Audi for their prices when you can buy T reg Skoda's instead the thing is, that these brands are overpriced as well. you know why? if it wouldn't be overpriced, then they wouldn't sell their shit for less then 50% off the original price during a sale or via an outlet store. they still make a hell of a profit off of it, even if they sell it for half of what they originally asked for it. otherwise they wouldn't go down with the price like this. now tell me again that these prices are reasonable. just imagine, what they make off of something that they regularly sell for 100 euros and then drop it to 50. this quality argument has bullshit written all over it. it's all coming from some chinese, bangladeshi or indonesian factory.

Quality is in the eye of the beholder, but from personal experience I find certain brands last longer, fit better and keep their shape and colour much longer. It isn't always the case that a higher price means better quality, but I'm old and experienced enough to know which lasts longer - the cheaper Matalan/Primark t-shirts feel like a mis-shapen roll of sandpaper after a few washes whereas I've had Fred Perry and Pretty Green clothes for years and years that still feel almost brand new. It's more expensive but it's all about priorities isn't it? If you're happy wearing £7 Matalan t-shirts then great. I'm 6'5ft though and there's nothing worse than a giant in ill-fitting clothes - I've always found Pretty Green to be a really good fit so I'm happy to invest knowing I'll get a lot of use out of it. It's catering for people like me who think it's decent value and there's enough people out there buying it to keep it in business so how can you say it's not reasonable? You're obviously not in their target market, you've made that clear but nobody is forcing you to buy it. The profit argument is bollocks - every business in the world is out to make profit, that's the way of the world. You keep saying about 100 euros for a t-shirt which is about £80. I've just been on the website and there's no more than a handful of tops at that price - no more than 20% if that, and the majority are from the David Bowie collection which is admittedly horrendous. The vast majority of t-shirts are around £35 (44 euros). At least get your facts right if you're going to criticise them. I'm not massively brand conscious but like I say, I know from trial, error and experience that certain brands look better, feel better and last longer than others and I'm happy to pay the going rate for those. I think Pretty Green started off quite exclusive and the first few designs were overpriced for what they were, as in they were charging premium prices for average clothes, but they sussed out their target market as they became more established and have got their prices about right now. A lot of the cheaper stuff is just tat, but clearly enough people must buy it to make it viable. The high end stuff is decent but far too expensive for me, but they've said several times that those are the clothes that Liam actually wears and has an input in so I guess they're aimed towards his mates and other people with a lot of money and not me. Personally I like the mid priced range, I know what my limits are for buying clothes and there's enough there that I like to keep me interested.

I will never be seen wearing Pretty Green even if I was given it, but I still think its nice clothes, a lot of my friends wear it. I imagine Liam makes quite a lot of money off it, can't see how he would struggle to when its like £110 for a coat that costs a tenner to make.

To Pretty Green's credit, they have lowered the prices, like on graphic tees. I don't care what the brand is, a t-shirt shouldn't cost $70 - $80.
I've yet to buy anything from the brand, I might get the paisley logo tee, though.
Also, I don't think Liam's has much to do with the brand anymore; he doesn't do the adverts anymore and even Liam couldn't pull off some of the newer clothes available.
God bless.

There's a parka priced at £165 that is apparently a best seller. I recently bought it and have been very impressed with it. I really don't think £165 is bad for a parka and it looks class. You can also get student discount if you buy it in scotts!

I also bought one from New Look, similar looking but different colour plus it doesn't look as good, £50. Both serve their purpose. Different brands for different needs. Shut up moaning about the price people, it has it's place in the market!!!

You know humans have lost their way as a species when perfectly intelligent men are happily spending almost 100 pounds on a t-shirt.

In the end Nyron had to write five or so paragraphs to explain something relatively simple to you. Maybe you should be looking closer to home for someone not 'perfectly intelligent'.

How is this thread still going on? O.o
What's more idiotic and than spending a boatload on a shit? Caring that's someone spent a boatload on a shirt from behind a computer screen.
Liam sells clothes, the clothes are sometime reasonable and often expensive. You're not going to buy it then fine. You're going to buy it then fine. Everyone has their passion. Everyone spends a boatload of money on something that someone else would consider stupid. Accept it and move on.
It's Liam's hobby and it seems like the cleanest one he has. I'm never going to buy it but some will and that's their decision. The only issue I've ever had with the Pretty Green venture was Liam pushing it on band mates other than that, it's his money and people have their own money spend how they like.

Cause I believe that its Liam's clothes and I want my own style man, I know a lot of people who dress exactly like Liam and pretend they're oasis fans and its a label that I try and avoid. Not disrespecting any of yous for wearing it though as it is very nice clothing, its just my opinion!
