Beltin! Would have liked to hear something like Substitute as NYR (I think) suggested, but at this stage, it's just nice to see Liam do something right again. Standing there, arms behind his back, belting out a legendary rock tune... He's in his element

Fantastic performance.
Always a big talking point amongst Oasis fans but in my opinion Liam definitely still has 'the voice', he just doesn't always use it.

Liam still has a good vocal range. You can see this in the video.
But: 1- his breathing is terrible -> he's (or his voice) getting tired very easily 2- his vocals are too nasal
And I honestly think that he doesn't want to fix any of these problems...

Gimme Shelter at H'Smith was a better vocal of recent times I think. Was good but it's been better at other times in recent years.

Fantastic performance. Always a big talking point amongst Oasis fans but in my opinion Liam definitely still has 'the voice', he just doesn't always use it. No, he uses it too much. Liam always sounds great after his voice has rested (check the brilliant SBOTA acoustic performance). It's when you fast forward nine months later in a tour is when his voice goes bad. It's his voice having the endurance to be used night in and night out that's the issue. But when Liam's voice has rest he usually nails any performance he has. Good to see Liam performing live again and sounding good.

The less dates the better at this point. I remember catching Beady Eye at the tail end of the DGSS tour, his voice was horrific.

He sounds quite good! Well compared to what he has sounded like in years anyway.
And he properly finishes the sentences! Woah

Agreed. He's on fire and seems to be really into it. I'm happy for him And I guess, he should continue to sing the occasional song. As he's now without a band, guest appearances like this seem to be a good way for him to stay in the public eye through music (instead of only his clothing brand or some statement on an Oasis reunion or Noel). Thus, he will always sound good -because his voice is rested - and people will start to (re)acknowledge his talent as a singer.

The main difference beetwen Liam now and Liam then is that he sounds less hoarse and a bit more nasal. I had no doubt that he won't have a problem with sounding good on My Gerenation today because it's not the kind of sounds that he's struggling with lately anyway, it's mostly shouting, let him try to sing Gas Panic, that would be a nightmare 100%. He sounds like he prepared for that show though. I like his voice now because it sounds even more Lennonish, and he is finding a new way how to use his nowadays voice, but to be absolutely fair, he's not sounding like in 2000, he will never sound like that again.
