Gold Soundz should be #1 then Live Forever. Oasis and Pavement are my two favorite bands ever so I'm biased. All in all not a bad list but Hole and Green Day ahead of those two songs. Nah.
Gold Soundz is my favorite Pavement song thus being one of my favorite songs ever. It is literally one of the few songs I can deem as pretty much perfect. It is one of those songs that I can visually paint a picture of. I could write on and on about it for ages.
Live Forever is a definitive statement and one of the last truly great rock anthems.
Pavement's twisted indie rock and Oasis's commanding presence didn't make either them the most popular band in 1994, but in my opinion it made them the best. On one hand one band that totally didn't give a fuck and on the other hand you had a band that laid it all out there and didn't give a fuck what you thought about it.

I love Noel's comment about this song (think it was on Seven Ages of Rock) that this song was born at the right time, just after Kurt Cobain took his own life or something like that. (I may be wrong, so I apologize if I am).
I love everything of this song. From that drum intro to the end and especially lyrics. This song has the great, positive power.
