Arsenal vs. Hull
So, will Arsene be putting on his magic hat in a week's time, or is he going to continue to be the dozy French Frog fucking up another final? The last time Arsenal won a trophy was in 2005..... ....I was in the 11th grade ....London won the rights to host the Olympic Games, rebuilt Stratford and then hosted the event. ...Swansea have won promotion from League Two, League One and the Championship ...Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was coming to the end of his first year in secondary school ...Miley Cyrus has was still an innocent Disney Channel star instead of a slightly creepy, hugely irritating, twerking menace. ...Arsenal have spent an incredible £227,500,000 on new players over that time period ...52 of the 92 football league clubs have won a trophy over that time period ...Over 1,000,000,000 people have been born. Will Arsenal finally break their trophy drought this season?

Arsenal will win, but it will not be a springboard to anything better.

Arsenal will win, but it will not be a springboard to anything better. More or less agree. If Wenger makes the right signings, we'll be competitive next season. But that sentence has been said during every off season, and every off season his dithering proves to be fatal. I have always viewed reaching 80 points as a very good season, even if you don't finish first, because that benchmark means you've been competitive and can actually be enough to win the title depending on the season. We're finishing with 79 points, should we win tomorrow. In 1997/98, that would have been enough to win the title. And we were competitive for almost the entire season. It's a tough one, this. We've played some scintillating football - the best we've played in recent years. We scored what may be the best goal in Premiership history (coincidentally, vs. Norwich), and topped the table for 130+ days, more than any other team. But we've also played the worst football I have ever seen (the 6-0 vs. Chelsea was by far the worst performance ever under Wenger. It was utterly shambolic. Even worse than the 5-0 vs. Liverpool or the 8-2 vs. Utd. It was shockingly shit). And faced another collapse in a year where we should have won the league. 4th place and the FA Cup isn't a bad season, but the way we threw away the league is irritating. I think Wenger is good value for his new contract, though. We've improved, what more can you ask for? Plus, I've grown up with him. Started watching Arsenal in 1996, first full season I followed was 1997/98 (due to my age. I was only a child back then!), so it'll be a sad day when he does retire, but he deserves more success than he's gotten, and I want to see him succeed - not just as an Arsenal fan but as a human being - he deserves it. So get on your magic hat, Arsene for at least one more time.....

At the official MCFC bar in NYC and who else is there but another L4E member! Nice meeting you, Sean! By the way, I was at the Mad Hatter on Wednesday the entire match and didn't see Liam. He was there, apparently, but I didn't notice him! (If I had I would've definitely taken a picture with him, that's for sure.) Attachments:

Delighted for Wenger, quite emotional to see how much it meant for him. He won it for Arsenal - his substitutions were timed to perfection and such expert game management from him. He looked absolutely drained and delighted, it really took it out of him! A man of great dignity unlike the repulsive Mourinho, Wenger has had the last laugh. The good will always prevail.
19th in net spend of all teams in the league is by no means the framework for success, so this trophy will be all the sweeter for them and Wenger's best FA Cup success.
I'm sure these next few years will see Wenger getting ready for his successor so it's great to see him get his trophy at long last. Well done.
P.S. Oh, and Mourinho. Two teams in two years costing just under a billion pounds and no trophy. Arsenal 19th in net spend and win the FA Cup. Which one is 'specialist in failure' again? Get ready for the internet barrage of abuse Jose.
