Henry retiring,Lampard going to New York in January,Del Piero "playing" in the Indian League,Gerrard and Totti still playing for their beloved teams and always trying to do their best, but being criticised by some of their own fans...it's the end of an era Henry retiring to me marks the end of golden age of the "EPL ". I mean look at some of these names that roamed the pitch in the glory years that were EPL now gone ... Cole ,york , sheringham. Beckham , scholes , Giggs , KEANO , berkgamp , fowler , owen , Phillips , shearer , cantona , viera , dicanio, not even mentioning the defenders or goalkeepers ... Was a special era , likes of which may never be seen again for passion , excitement. Old school football

Old school football Yeah, I wasn't able to see all of them as I'm too young, I've been lucky enough to see the final part of some of these amazing players' careers, and I've watched lots of old matches, even knowing that it obviously isn't the same There are fantastic players right now, Messi, Ronaldo, Ibra etc. and some of the best teams ever, like Real Madrid or Bayern, Barcelona from a few years ago, but it still feels like something's missing All those players are great technically, they make their teams win trophies, theu score, but they don't give you the same feelings and emotions as players from the past used to do, at least for me I'm a fan and that affects my thoughts obviously, but what I feel when Totti plays, or scores, that's something I've never felt for anybody else who's played for us

Scholes, Gerrard or Lampard? All different players IMO and the only reason, for me, that there is even a debate surrounding it is because Lampard and Gerrard were the main players at their clubs. Scholes, pound-for-pound was the best player of his generation. He could pass, shoot, head and would very rarely need to take the game by the scruff of it's neck (a la Gerrard, Lampard) because from the kick off he was in charge.

Scholes should be the archetypal player that every schoolboy should model themselves on. I think he's the greatest English talent of the last 30 years. Though Lampard and Gerrard are great. Gerrard was more of a Hollywood style player - and there's no doubt that his finest moments are some of football's greatest. That Champions League final is still the greatest football match of all time.

I dont think we'll ever see two players like Ronaldo and Messi ever again..especially not playing at the same time. The guys arent from this world...they can score 60-70 goals per season, thats scary!

My Japan-Australia prediction on Twitter got three favourites on Twitter. Note to self, don't send it to the Socceroos, may be jinxed now.

Although I had a dream (read: Nightmare) two nights ago that Arsenal lost to Boro 3-1, and Wenger's head was almost literally cut off. Praying for him tomorrow, like.

Following the SPL, I'm a big fan of Ronny Deila. Not a Celtic fan by any means but I'm impressed by his management.
I live half a mile from Celtic Park and the community here seem pretty excited, albeit they were sceptical at the start. I read an article a couple of years back in Four Four Two which was bugging him up and his methods are super modern, and Celtic look a really cohesive unit at the moment.
I honestly think he could become the next big thing in management, wouldn't be surprised if a top Premier League club comes in for him, but he's good for Scottish football and his coaching expertise is very much needed and I hope more clubs follow the example of bringing in more modern coaches. It's the only way towards a decent national side.

Not the best manager but he's still learning and I think he deserves time after all he's done for us.

Some Rangers fans are sore losers, hurling stuff at Hibs fans makes one look stupid.
