After 15 years, my club (Ferencváros) finally managed to qualify for the group stages of a European Competition and I couldn't be more excited. We started from the 1st round of qualifying and I am now at 3 international tours so far this year. I've been to Razgrad, Bulgaria, Zagreb, Croatia and Marijampolė, Lithuania. They've all been great and all that but the real deal will be our last group match in Razgrad, at which - given that the results of the penultimate round will be in our favour - we could qualify for the knock-out stages. That would be the biggest achievement of our club of the past 30 years or more, so even though Bulgaria probably won't be that much of a treat in the middle of December, I'm already buzzing. Wish us luck.

Jose Mourinho is the manager equivalent to Nicolas Anelka. Perfect analogy.

And as a student, I don't have that kind of money, especially after 3 international tours.

Objectively, it has to be Leicester coming from 5000/1 odds to win the league. But my personal favorite on the list is #9 - England reaching WC2018 Quarter-Finals after penalties win over Colombia.

Decent draw for West Brom today. 50 points before Christmas. That'll do.

Another win in the bag for FTC and another step closer to the championship. Next week's gonna be fun - two matches in Budapest, and it's been a while since I was this excited for football.

Oh didn't realise you're from Hungary. I've been in Budapest twice because of football The first time was just a one night stop before going to Kosovo and Albania for World Cup 2018 qualifying games but the 2nd time was a little over a year ago for a Nations League game. Getting a ticket was a struggle because I decided to fly there only a week before the game and they were really strict with away tickets. It was too late to buy a ticket in the Finnish fan section and iirc getting a normal ticket wasn't possible because they were checking IDs. And well, that was also problem later. I managed to get a spare ticket for free because one of the Finnish supporters couldn't make it, but when I tried to get in the stadium the name didn't match my passport and I had to talk with police and security for like 15 minutes straight and in the end they let me in after taking pictures of me and my passport. Later one of the board members in the supporters group told me "good thing you weren't too drunk so you managed to deal with the situation nicely" and it almost made me laugh because I had just thrown up right outside the stadium

Stop the clocks for real already!! I'm assuming you follow football quite a bit. Do you support any team in Finland? Or did you manage to get to any game in Scotland?

I support my local club in Finland called MyPa but I wouldn't say im a hardcore fan. I actually wish I had a stronger connection to the team but I just never really went to the games when i was younger because they're playing 20km away from me. I also have friends from HJK ultras and I've even been to their game standing with the "hardcore fans" but I only truly support them when it's their CL/Europe league games because it'd be good for the whole country if we get any success. Basically im mostly supporting the national team. It's a good substitute for a club, the fans are really close even though we're from different cities, just wish there were games more often. Also i often follow foreign teams with Finnish players in them. In Scotland I've been tried to make a Rangers, Celtic, Hibs and Hearts fan already I haven't picked a favourite though.

I mean, it could be worse. You could probably even get to games faster than me if you have a car, even though I live in the same city my team is located in. My only problem with international football is that the national team is always full of players I absolutely can't stand. Maybe I'm not patriotic enough, but I really can't cheer for a player that had just kicked the snot out of one of our key players just a week prior in a league match. But whatever, if Hungary and Finland meet again, which, given how often we've played each other in the last decade, is very likely, you're my guest for a beer or something. I'd go for Celtic or Hibs. They're green & white after all.

They're green & white after all. Yeah that's true, it's not a long ride tbh and I've been going to the games more often in the recent years since I can drive there. And I totally get what you mean about the national team. For us it's a bit different because the league isn't very good so almost all of our national team players are playing in other leagues. And also in general the football culture in Finland is still a bit shite so there's not a huge amount of tension between the clubs. The biggest problem is that lots of people actually dislike our local football, saying it's shit and they either don't follow football at all or only like big teams from other countries. That combined with super popular ice hockey has been an issue for a long time. All football supporters know this so when it comes to the national team it's easy to get together because we know our national team's success will be a really good thing for the football culture. The past couple of years has been a huge change in the attitude which is great. And thanks for the offer! No idea when we'll be grouped together again but I guess there's a decent chance I'll visit Budapest at some point again. I enjoyed my last trip for sure.
