Copa América started today. I didnt watch Brazil vs Bolivia thanks to a blackout, but it ended like it should've 3-0 for the brazilians.

¿Does anyone else feel like Jürgen Klopp has too many teeth? Maybe it's just me.... Discuss.

VAR must adapt the NFL approach - if you can't say that the decision was clearly wrong after looking at the footage, the decision on the field must stand. VAR was implemented to correct mistakes, not to judge 50/50 situations.
About that goal, I honestly thought she didn't have control of the ball, hence it should have been allowed.

Got away with too much, Cameroon. Spitting and a horror tackle as examples.

Can someone explain why the lineswomen aren't allowed to raise the flag as soon as they see offside passes in this world cup? It seems to really cheapen the moment of scoring as half as them get called offside ten seconds later, instead of when the pass is made.

They can do it, but it's better to check after the goal is scored just in case the offside call is a mistake from the lineswomen. Yeah, less emotional this way, but also can be 99.99% sure that there wont be a mistake.

because of VAR, and it's happening in every competition, not only the WWC because if they raise the flag the play stops and they might prevent scoring a goal if they were wrong

These handball rules make no sense to me. Human beings have arms, if you're going to have a ball-hits-arm scenario as a handball then there are gonna be penalties in every game and strikers aiming for defenders rather than the goal.

'ball-hits-arm' scenario isnt a penalty tho? or shouldnt be, depending on how the players arms are positioned...

People with their arms in completely natural positions, sometimes consciously moving themselves out of the way of the ball, giving away penalties because a shot hit just below their shoulder. Maybe I'm just annoyed Japan lost that game haha, but it does seem silly to me.

I dunno, without VAR, Spurs wouldn’t have gone through against Man City in the Champions League. I was delighted for Spurs, but also pissing myself at City,

one games highlights was enough for me tho...i dont get the sudden interest in womens football. is it an american thing?

eva Venezuela vs Argentina in the quarters on Maracaná.... How about it? then you can count yourself playing semifinals already We only played the real starting 11 vs Brasil, Oh well there has been some progress. Hopefully we have more stability in the defenders line next time. Every game had a different pair of centerbacks.

The younger players were playing at their best, but as we say in spanish si no lo haces te lo hacen.

Buffon returns to Juventus after a year at PSG. Won't be No. 1 again though which isn't a surprise really.
