How do you go from finishing in second place with 81 pts last season to mid table and already 19 pts behind first this season? 11 pts behind the top 4, shocking.
Man Utd are a joke club, managed by the most overrated football manager ever. Maureen to get the sack, surely?

i'm pretty sure aubameyang was a big arsenal fan as a child. money isnt an issue I wouldn't necessarily say that Arsenal got the better deal because Mkhitaryan is terrible, but Man Utd definitely got a bad deal with a non-performing Alexis.

No, they're much much worse. Highest wage expenditure in the world, ridiculous transfer outlay, a ridiculously high paid manager who is over the hill. Man Utd are a cataclysmic embarrassment and everyone involved from Woodward to Mourinho should be ashamed of themselves. The players should be the least of the fans concerns - Klopp, Guardiola, Sarri, Emery and even Bielsa at Leeds would all do better with this squad (Rashford and Martial would thrive).

Miki is overrated. he had a great season before he left but he'll always be remebered for costing us the CL semis in 13/14 and the cup final 2016

Honest to goodness question: Who is more of a specialist in failure - Arsene Wenger or Jose Mourinho? Surely it has to be Maureen.

Let me know when Wenger wins the champions league, also Jose has won the premier league more recently.

Different parameters to measuring success. Mourinho would have never kept the Arsenal of the 2010s competitive and in the top 4 with the likes of Almunia, Senderos, Djourou, Clichy, Squillaci, Silvestre, Santos, Frimpong,Coquelin, Denilson, Arteta, Gervinho Bendtner, Chamackh.....Appalling squads, absolute no chance.

Wenger has to his name not just titles but THE ART OF WINNING. Not through billions pumped in transfer budgets but shrewd transfers and top level developmental coaching and sublime football. Everything is summed up in how the general public misses Wenger and respects him, while social media has a field day comparing Mourinho to Alan Partridge. I don’t feel sorry for Mourinho, the guy was always a grade-A c*nt from the moment he arrived in England. The only thing I find unbelievable is that it took 15 long years for everyone to think the same. Reputation in tatters purely down to his shitshow of a personality - if there’s a moral lesson it’s what goes around comes around,

Fuck all includes the league cup and europa league, plus second last season against Man City with 100 points was decent.

Wenger was the manager that brought you that squad so you can't use that in his favour. (I Like Wenger btw)

Wenger bought some shite in his last ten years, placed too much faith in average players and failed for many years to identify Arsenals problems. He was one of the best around between 96-06.
Mourinho just didn’t seem arsed this season. Didn’t get the money he wanted to spend and sulked.

He’s only a couple of million short of what City spent, and reports suggest they were all his preferences. £400 million - you’ve got to be joking to buy the argument he never got the money.

City and United are in a league of their own when it comes to financial power. When you compare the level of success City have had with the paltry return with approximately equal money spent at United, then it really is pathetic. Chelsea last year gave up under Conte, Arsenal were in the dying days of Wengers regime, Spurs were transitioning while Liverpool would easily have finished second with less resources if they hadn’t gone so far in Europe. For the trophies Mourinho won, (a) United do not exist to win those trophies and (b) the Europa League campaign was won against all Mickey Mouse teams. Guardiola would have been champion with the resources at hand, while Klopp, Sarri, Conte, and even Wenger would have won more with that financial muscle. A terrible waste and I’m delighted Man Utd have finally seen sense and sacked him. They should have stuck to Fergies initial apprehension over him. Pochettino would do wonders there, time for some sense with a manager who isn’t in it purely for himself.

United were in those competitions and won them that is not nothing and 2nd is not sucess but
it was a significant improvment on the season before.

Many managers would have done so much better, and will do better, with this team. Unbelievably, they had the chance in 2013 and 2014 to go for either of the top two managers leading the league - Guardiola in 2013 and Klopp in 2014. There’s no way those two would have failed with the resources on hand that Mourinho got.

mourinho was always a bit of a twat, but i didnt really care, because he was good at what he did...after this and the chelsea debacle, im not sure what to make of him anymore? even when they did well, they werent playing good football. i dont even mind the defensive style/tactics he uses, but only if it works. and it just didnt work for him and he never evolved. you need an incredible back line and hard working midfielders to play the way he wanted, and united just didnt have the players to pull it off. he wasted alot of the money he spent on players that didnt really fit his system. just like LVG, only slightly better...

Pep seems to enjoy improving young players whereas Jose wants players to be great now or he's not interested. He got rid of Salah and De Bruyne whilst at Chelsea. At United he bought Bailly and Lindelof for big money then decides he wants even more money to buy more defenders.
