I'd be right in saying you don't go to watch Bob anymore?

"I was honestly shocked as soon as he started singing but I changed my mind throughout the video. He sounds rough and his voice is obviously stressed, but he never lost the plot and managed to hit all the notes. I actually enjoyed the performance. I might be alone on this but I think it was a very good one to my ears. In this video he seems to have dropped that 'cutting verses' attitude a bit. If he drops it completely it could be of benefit."
omg are u serious? it is as flat as a board total shame because the band is spot-on and i am a fan of Beady Eye- not 'trolling' here

Commendable as it is @smiley, you're facing a losing battle with some people on this forum I'm afraid. No one who sees their opinion as fact to the point when they feel they can simple say, "Liam G. is history" or insist that Andy and Gem don't care for the band and are simply there for the money with no proof at all and having never meet either of them, is worthy to argue with ha, sometimes a war of attrition means losing a few battles and for those occassions I'll settle for annoying them as much as they annoy me.

Well we appreciate it smiley, you pick up on some of the ridiculous things that get said on this forum and are never picked up on, for instance when someone said the other day that they've only heard Flick of the Finger and then said Flick of the Finger was good but the rest of the songs are terrible... What? I've got to say, your put-down of gdforever the other week was really quite something... Like most people on this forum, I've had the odd argument or two with gd and she likes to utilise attrition, by making each reply a paragraph longer each time and I haven't the stamina or patience for that so it was even more impressive when you played at her own game and prevailed...

It aint about putting people in their place. Correcting people yes, but you both need to get down off your high horses. If people just ignored the stupid comments rather than make issues all the time.

I'm not on a high horse, lady, I just don't want to ignore stupid comments.
Why not point out to someone that they might have based an opinion on an assumption that may not have a sound basis? Why not take someone to task when then lay claim that their point of view represents eveyone elses? Why not point out that saying "it is!" doesn't actually make it so?
that's discussion, isn't it?
I don't just think everyone is entitled to their opinion, It think everyone SHOULD have an opinion, and then if some has a different one, you can discuss why that might be. You'll probably never change someone else's mind, but along the way everyone involved can learn things and enjoy putting their point of view.
BUT, if it is simply a purely subjective "I feel this way about this" then state it as such, not as some defining postion that everyone else does or should hold

He sounds like shit, and I love how the fanboys give the most fantastic excuses to Liam trash the band's performances like he did in this video from Ibiza.

might be the only one who actually likes the version of IJS. Yeah his voice sounds rough but then again, the crowd seems to enjoy it, it´s a rock n roll tune and it´s liam. he´s singing like that these days (still way better than 2005 for example) so what?
the only thing that bothers me, why is he always looking down between the lines? is there a monitor with the lyrics or something and he needs to look at it all the time???
plus he looks pretty tired imo....

Come on, let's be honest. He sounds quite bad, that's it. Every excuse or exaggeration is useless...

I like it too mate, raw vocals, emotional rock'n'roll - pure anger comes through in it. I'm sure he tried his best here. We all know Liam can do better vocally but we have just to accept that his voice is a bit hit or miss now. I think he does have a monitor with the lyrics in front of him, can't remember where but I caught a glimpse of it on some recent footage.

Why are people saying
"oh the crowd seem to be enjoying it"
It's not called the 'party island' for nothing, everyone there either started drinking at 10am OR havent stopped from the night before.
The majority would have been there just to see the one & only Liam Gallagher. I very much doubt they were arsed about the songs.

"It's the love-child thing..bla bla bla" you always sound angry. angry about being sad. who knows. this is a band's FAN forum. yet you're still surprised to see a lot of Oasis/Liam fans backing Liam even when he's having a tough time these days. are you that STUPID? are a whole lot of you with this idiot? and it aint about giving him any excuses or whatever rubbish you were talking about - it's about not giving a shit and ENJOYING that Liam is still making records and playing gigs. why not anyway?! would you rather have him at home doing nothing? ooooooh no. you're happy when he's singing like shit. oh man! you are so happy, it makes your fucking MONTH. you're enjoying that time, arent you? you can't wait for the next gig... and you HOPE Liam sings the worst he's ever sung....... you fucking V-A-G-I-N-A !

Some people on this forum really need to go outside, experience some fresh air and interact with real people, instead of just sitting all day long in front of the computer posting about how much you hate a person/band just to mess with the fans. Think about it.

LOL, how lovely!! To be honest, I'm very angry, you're right, since one of the best singers and frontmen in the music history don't give a fuck about his voice or performances anymore..I see every new video from the band with a hope that he'll sound like he did brilliantly in the past, cuz I love his voice..but it's hard to listen that he doesn't care anymore about it. I feel frustrated, probably like most of the fans. So, Fuck off u prick, I love this guy probably as much as you love him. Just still can't believe how terrible he went from those brilliant acoustic session till those last concerts. But the hope is not done.

I don't pay much attention if Liam is having an off night. If he has a sore throat or a cold, he's doing well to get up on the stage. None of US could withstand the beating his vocal cords have been taking for twenty years. I've seen him when his voice was amazing, as well as when he was struggling desperately. Human vocal cords can't be perfect all the time. We recently went to see Dwight Yoakum; he was so sick with flu that he couldn't even banter with the audience, and he apologized for it. He still went on with the show because people had come to see him. I wouldn't rush to say that Liam doesn't care about his performance; it may have just been the best his larynx could do that night. Admittedly, I do wish Liam would take better care of himself and his voice.

I think I'd rather he showed some more effort and got it wrong than doing what he's doing now, which seems to be finding a pitch he can manage and monotonously drawling his way through the songs there.
Whoever thought Liam would turn out to be Beady Eye's weak link?
