1. D'You Know What I Mean--The one track on Be Here Now where all of the massive production is completely justified. Incredible swagger, Liam at his coolest. Wicked solo, probably my favourite Oasis solo, probably tied with The Importance Of Being Idle. Love that moment right before the second chorus where it sounds like an orchestra is falling out of a helicopter. 2. Don't Go Away--Beautiful, every bit as good as Wonderwall in my opinion. Great vocal. The one song on the album that Noel pretty much left alone and didn't drown in guitars. Thank God. 3. My Big Mouth--Too long and overblown, this is still a massive beast of a rock tune. 4. All Around The World--the length of this song is absolutely ridiculous, true proof that Noel had a $1,000 a day habit. But its one of my favourite Oasis songs to play on guitar (albeit not for ten fucking minutes)--some truly inspired chords sequences. 5. Stand By Me--If this were the acoustic version, it would be 3rd. A great song partially ruined by bad production. Too long. 6. Its Getting Better Man--Some great guitar sounds, but way, way too long (notice a trend here?) 7. I Hope I Think I Know--This is a poor man's Stay Young. It's got the classic Oasis sound, very upbeat and infectious, but is missing something essential. 8. Be Here Now--Lazy, lazy lyrics and too long by far But Noel is so gifted that all of that shit can't completely bury this hook. 9. Fade In Out--I like the bluesiness of this, and it certainly is the only real chance Oasis took on BHN, but I'm not sure if it completely works. 10. The Girl In The Dirty Shirt--This is evidence of how good this album is/could've been. This is a quality song with a proper hook. And it comes in 10th. 11. Magic Pie--The only real dud on the album, this is Noel at his worst. Stupid lyrics that actually sound stupid, and a chorus that lands like a sack of excrement. And, oh yes, WAY TOO LONG. 12. All Around The World Reprise--I'm going to try and pretend that this didn't happen.

i really really don't like "Don't go away" don't know why but Oasis for me were never closer to something like girlie rock. i know his vocals are great but i really can't stand it^^ it's my opinion, but for me it just sounds like a desperate power ballad by the number. i know i will get some answers but it's just my opinion. would rate "fade in/out" over it every day. Noel wrote it when he thought his mum had cancer (it turned out to be a false alarm), which I guess helps explain the soppiness!

1. All Around the World (The first 5 minutes or so...then I can't stand it anymore) 2. Magic Pie (The username says it all) 3. Don't Go Away (They really should have named the album after this. It would have made oh too much sense.) 4. Stand By Me 5. I Hope I Think I Know 6. It's Gettin Better Man 7. My Big Mouth (Reminds me too much of "Surrender" by Cheap Trick) 8. Be Here Now 9. D'you Know What I Mean (Extremely overrated, it's ridiculous, it's simply decent) 10.The Girl With The Dirty Shirt 11.All Around the World part 2 (As if there wasn't enough of it already) 12.Fade in/out

1. Don't Go Away (Easily the best song in my opinion. One of the few songs not to be spoiled by being too overblown and long. Sounded great live especially the GMex and TCT gig from 2007 when I play the TCT version I just put it on repeat several times before I feel able to move on) 2. Stand by me (A great song but a bit too long) 3. Do You Know What I Mean? (Far too long and repetitive, should have been at least two minutes longer, bored by the end. The live version was great though, sounded epic) 4. I Hope I Think I Know (A lost classic, great sound should have been played live) 5. My Big Mouth (Great sound, epic live, underrated. Really glad this was played on the Dig Out Your Soul tour. Just wish they had played Gas Panic! as well. Still that tour had the best setlist outside of the Morning Glory tour in my opinion) 6. All Around The World (Epic song but far too long and repetitive. I do like the official video, shorter and much better than the album version and a great video) 7. It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) (Another good song but again too long and repetitive) 8. The Girl In The Dirty Shirt (Quite like this one but it is forgettable) 9. Be Here Now (Lazy lyrically and musically) 10. Magic Pie (Awful, starts well but has some of the worst lyrics in an Oasis song. Can't believe Noel dumped Stay Young (one of the highlights from The Masterplan) for this. I think Noel has made some questionable choice over his career) 11. Fade In-Out (Saved from the bottom slot only by the All Around The World Reprise, hated the acoustic live version played in 1998) 12. All Around The World (Reprise) (The most pointless Oasis song, why reprise it? was the original not long enough?)
Overall a great album but flawed by the Cocaine excesses, if only someone had been brave enough to tell Noel the songs were too long. Doubt he would have listened though. I hope one day Noel can be bothered to produce a shorter version. At nearly 72 minutes for just 12 songs it is far too long.
A great album but suffers from having to follow Definitely Maybe and What's The Story (Morning Glory)

D'You Know What I Mean? - absolutely classic opener, one of their best tunes
My Big Mouth - fucking rocks, unbelievable guitar work
Its Gettin' Better (Man...)- anthemic rocker that just feels like it should last forever.
I Hope, I Think, I Know - underrated, real sing it out loud rock tune
All Around The World - the anthem. Goes on for ages, which Imo helps the track achieve its anthemic status
Dont Go Away - in my opinion this is better than wonderwall, liams vocals are great, its got a nice tune, and moving lyrics (even if some are the real peoples)
Stand By Me - love the chord changes in this one, i think the verses are great, and a sing-a-long chorus to match.
Fade In-Out - the bit where Liam (?) screams and the loud guitars kick in is one of my fave oasis moments, and it makes this nice bluesy tune, a whole level more epic
Be Here Now - pretty decent little rock tune, perhaps a bit slow and tries to be Columbia, but ill listen to it.
Magic Pie - when i heard the verse i was blown away, but the chorus and droning outro ruin it for me.
TGITDS - I've always found this one a bit bland and it doesn't hold my interest
But what an album.

I don't like Don't Go Away that much. I especially find the chorus very lazy. Away, say, stay, day etc. And what surprised me was when I found out it was stolen from The Real People! At least steal some GOOD lyrics. Songwriting for 5 year olds.

1. Stand By Me - Easily the best song on the album, amazing guitar riffs and Liam's vocals are great on this. 2. Don't Go Away - Nice tune and beautiful lyrics, should have been a British single. 3. D'You Know What I Mean? - Big album opener with probably the best lyrics of any Oasis song. 4. All Around The World - Extremely long but sounds great. Would love to see an early demo with Liam on vocals. 5. The Girl In The Dirty Shirt - A fun, pop sounding song. Would have been a lot better if it was more acoustic. 6. I Hope I Think I Know - A good song but the chorus doesn't seem to lead anywhere. Could've been epic. 7. My Big Mouth - Sounds good but could have been so much better if Liam had sounded like he did at Knebworth. 8. Magic Pie - I have a soft spot for this song. Great verses but a terrible chorus, would have preferred Going Nowhere. 9. It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) - Don't mind this song, isn't the best but certainly isn't the worst Oasis song. 10. Be Here Now - Stupid lyrics but the song has a fun little tune. 11. Fade In/Out - A boring song which I hardly ever listen to. Noel should've gone for Stay aYoung.

I must add that the All Around the World Reprise fits well as the album closer, but would've been a hell of a lot better, had the overall album length been shorter.
Also, had Stay Young and Going Nowhere been on this album, instead of the bottom two I listed, SY would slot between AATW & BHN, with GN being between DYKWIM & FI/O. Brilliant tracks that shouldn't have been omitted from the album, but nevertheless, BHN is quite good the way it is, and making this list reminded me of that. I could only think of one or two tracks that would make me think "Meh" about it in any sort of way of any part of the song.

1) D'You Know What I Mean? - Best Oasis album opener, hands down. Perhaps the best Oasis song ever? 2) Don't Go Away - Oasis' best ballad. Nothing on DM or MG could show this kind of raw emotion. 3) My Big Mouth - EPIC and has some of the best Liam vocals. 4) Stand by Me - One of the best Oasis ballads, even with that weird opening lyric. 5) Be Here Now - This song has some EPIC SWAGGER to it. 6) I Hope, I Think, I Know - Pure pop and hearkens back to DM, and should have been a single. 7) The Girl in the Dirty Shirt - One long song full of pop hooks. Especially that piano. 8) All Around the World - While I love this song and hate to rank it so low on the list, but here is where the excess of this album is most apparent. It's still fun to sing and listen to, though. 9) It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) - Good melody and MASSIVE guitar solo, but the last two minutes of "We're gettin' better man" ruin the song forever. 10) Magic Pie - Catchy and excellent (for the first minute) before that lazy, tired, and nonsensical chorus kicks in. Goes on for way too long and ends with a "WTF is this doing here? " jazz coda. 11) All Around the World (Reprise) - Completely unnecessary and ends with that infamous "door slam". 12) Fade In-Out - Just dreadful, boring, too long, and seven minutes of nothing.

1. Stand By Me- One of their very best. Unfairly overlooked constantly 2. Don't Go Away- Yes a bit of a rip-off in the chorus but Liam's vocals are amazing and it's one of their best 'softer' moments, also offers great respite from the rest of the chaos surrounding it 3. D'You Know What I Mean?- Oasis but with even more swagger and arrogance! 4. All Around The World- Really underated song and I wouldn't change it at all or cut the length. It is what it is and I love it for it 5. My Big Mouth- As loud as they ever got 6. Fade In-Out- The closest Oasis ever got to the blues but it's also heavy as hell as well 7. It's Gettin' Better (Man)!- This songs sums BHN up. There's an awesome song in there someone but it sort of get lost in the Wayne's world guitar solos and 7 minute length. Still good though 8. I Hope, I Think, I Know- Great pop song, probably the last they ever did before they got a bit serious after BHN 9. Girl in a Dirty Shirt- Again there's a fantastic song in here someone but should have been more stripped and 2 minutes shorter 10. Magic Pie- See 9 but with added shit lyrics and title 11. Be Here Now- Something needed to be last and unfortunately this is it. It is not that bad it's just a bit average
Overall its really consistent. If it was any of the other albums I'd know instantly what would be bottom but I actually had to work this out.

Very hard to do. Be Here Now is the weakest song by far. Not sure about All Around The World that high. My podium is the only thing I won't change.

1. D'You Know What I Mean - Easily the best song on the album. A real Oasis classic, wrongly forgotten by some. Possibly a top 10 Oasis song.2. Fade In-Out - Very underrated. Melody, attitude & a bit something different.3. My Big Mouth - One of the most rocking song Oasis ever did. Could of done with a few more guitars though
4. Magic Pie - Underrated. Sounds like a failed Oasis classic, ha, I'm still a big fan though. "Magic Pie", though? That's laughably bad. Was Noel trying to be surreal? Or 'I Am The Walrus-esc'? Perhaps it refers to something? God know, but it doesn't work.5. Don't Go Away - A more 'complete' song than 'Magic Pie', but a bit on the dreary side for me. A good song but overrated.6. I Hope, I Think, I Know - For me, it's a great filler tune. Nothing amazing about it, nothing bad. Shortest proper tune on the album and I'd say it's one of the few which are at the correct length.
7. All Around The World - Far, far too long. The melody to the first 2 line of the pre-chorus are fantastic. The rest is pretty good. Again, a tad dreary.8. Be Here Now - Just a simple, fun, slightly different song.9. Stand By Me - To me, it's one of the most overrated Oasis there is. Like 'Don't Go Away' it feels a pretty 'complete' song however it so unbelievably dreary I often skip it. A boring slog, ha.10. It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) - Like 'I hope, I Think, I Know' but not as good. A stupidly long, filler of a track. One of the mushiest guitar sounds on the album.11. All Around The World (Reprise) - Bit unfair to rank. It's more just a part of the 'complete album package'. It's really not that bad actually, but I just hate the sound of the brass instruments. Really dated. Not as bad as 'Round Are Way' though.
12. The Girl In The Dirty Shirt - The FORTH track I'm going to have to summarise with the word dreary. Yeesh, what a depressingly dreary album to release given the amount of public hype behind it. Why on earth Noel put this on the album and not 'Going Nowhere' certainly beats me. That would have easily been a top 5 song for me (for the album). Certainly not the worst song by Noel or the rest of Oasis, but for me, it's a bad'n.

Be Here Now is a great album and I don't understand why Noel Gallagher jokes about it. 1. My Big Mouth 2. Stand By Me 3. D'You Know What I Mean? 4. The Girl with the Dirty Shirt 5. Don't Go Away 6. Fade In-Out (Live version is better) 7. It's Getting Better (Man!!) 8. I Hope, I Think, I Know 9. All Around the World 10. Be Here Now 11. Magic Pie 12. All Around the World (Reprise) It's really difficult I love Stay Young too.
