Have to say I really, really like it. I certainly like it more than anything of Noel's album, even if it is just a pretty simple song made big by Sitek. I even quite like the nonsense lyrics about apples and tickling feet, I've always been a fan of Gem's lyrics (I assume it's his song) for that reason.

bit of a grower, not the bombastic 'comeback' single I was hoping for perhaps, and the vocals are a little low in the mix I thought! otherwise, bring on the album!

Generally pleased with the song overall. Lyrics are a bit weak as someone's already mentioned but at the end of the day, who really cares about them? Liam sounds decent, nice little guitar bit at 1:24 and then the "Come on, show what you love now" is good too.
Probably just prefer FOTF at the moment - both good tunes though. Probably 7/10 for both of them. Waiting for something from the rest of the album to blow me away...
Come on Liam, don't let me down!

Listened to it last night, and just again right now... It's alright, but definitely not lead single material for me... It's also quite cheesy and pop, and I didn't expect that from Beady Eye. This is what I am saying. The lead single needs to be GREAT. This isn't. I'm not saying I don't like it mind. Look they have made a video for it. They are going to start promoting it & playing it on radio stations meaning they want to make a big impression surely. The way Liam has been talking it's like he wants this to be better than DGSS & to move on. Sure it has good production & is different but the layman Oasis/Gallagher fan won't care about that. Say what you want about singles not being important these days but 1 or 2 strong/catchy songs being played on radio & TV SELLS albums! It needs to appeal to the masses (Old & new fans) & say we're back! To get that Numer One Album FFS. I am sure there are better songs on the album & I can understand them sitting on a better song for single 2. I'm just confused about this song choice. For example to test my theory I just let my mate at work hear it (Not really into Beady Eye but likes his music) He said it was alright but said "What is the Tickle my feet bit all about?!" and "I can't see that doing very well"

all this "single material" shit. as long as you like it it doesn't matter if this is a single or not. what do you guys expect? both songs are far better than anything on DGSS, and i'm really looking forward to the album. might be the best produced gallagher album ever. and hell let's face it. BE won't change the world anyway. i'm a happy man now and i can see myself listening to the album in the sun while drinking beers or smoking stuff

I actually only find it ok, and I am surprised of the reaction here. Usually most are tough and critical but this is getting a lot of praise. I am someone who likes almost everything Liam/Noel does and usually like a song that is considered weak more than most. I like all of DGSS other than SOTEOTN and KFAD, and I know I like that album far more than most.
But I am having problems getting into this song. If it weren't for the "Show us your love now" part, I'd really rate it very low.
My big concern is this is poor for a lead single. In a world where the single rules, you need a good one. This will suffer from a lack of play time other than in the UK if it is not well liked. Even here in Toronto on 102.1 the Edge, Oasis gets good air, but BE and NGHFB didn't get a lot. They played the Roller and IIHAG for about a month and then it disappeared, with no second or third single ever played. Lately, with the changing times, they have played lots of wuss rock and poppy stuff, which has pissed me off.
It will truly be a shame if they don't play it while the wuss rock (its gotten really bad) continues. Also Bookie, who was an older DJ during the evening, was really into Oasis and is someone who would have vouched to play BE (he played BTL a few times right after it came out). He's no longer there, so I am worried there will be less pull for them.
I find FOTF to be a much better sound and song and hope the rest of the album is more like that.
A song like this won't get air time or if it does, it will be for a couple weeks max.

I love it, yeah the lyrics aren't great but it has great production, flows really well and sounds so different, we've heard two songs now and they are both solid. Album is gonna be great.

Those of you going on about lyrics, the recent Noel leaks have had shit about toads jumping up and down and cows so don't get ahead of yourself.
Anyway, I really really like it, the chorus is the catchiest thing Beady Eye have done so far in my opinion, why are so many people bothered if it's not lead single material? As long as you like the song, who cares, they are never going to chart well anyway.
The 'Come on, show what you love now' is brilliant, Liam sounds great.
Some of you will never be happy with what they release, lets face it.
Bring on the album!

Looking around the web the only place this song is getting a negative reaction is here which is strange. Maybe you've all just listened to Oasis related music for too long and too much down the years and you're bored with it now. It's a good song, nothing spectacular but not much else is nowadays.

The album out in the summer will be ace. As I've said before about SBOTA "I dig it all night long" It's never gonna be mainstream or change the world but I just had to air my point on the weak lead single & the layman listening to it, which is unfortunately true.

Some of you will never be happy with what they release, lets face it. Bring on the album! tbf, in my rant about lyrics I mentioned Noel too The problem with not having good lyrics is when the song in not up to snuff, the lyrics will weigh it down even more. When you have better lyrics, the song is better. That's my main problem. It's the not really putting effort in lyrics that irk me. No matter who's doing it. If you want a better song, then you take the time to work on your lyrics. Secondly, I don't think it's about charting well necessarily. But as Bellboy pointed out. The point of a single is get fans and non fans alike, excited at the same time. Does this do it? I don't know. That's why some are questioning as "single material". The only thing I would say is a single is just a name. Once the album is released, it's just another song. However......that doesn't mean it's not minimally important. It is a single and is supposed to somewhat support the album. Because I don't know about you, but I'd like for Beady Eye to grow an audience. Because if their record sales continue to shrink, there's no guarantees they'll make it back to America for any extended period of time for fans to see them or other parts of the world that they probably wouldn't go to if their album weren't selling well. So for some, who aren't guaranteed UK shows or a decent sized venue and want to see them, the record sales and how the single is received as a promotional tool, does matter.

People seem to love the production, and so do I - but the songwriting isn't really any better than on DGSS, is it? The chorus is pretty simple, there is little melodic variation in it all...dunno, I definitely like the song, but it's not amazing. Guess it will grow on me though - I hated BTL with a passion at first, ended up really liking it.
