I have a feeling Tiger Woods will be playing The Masters...I've seen reports of him playing practice rounds at the course, but more telling to me, Nike has a new Tiger commercial, don't think they'd release a new commercial with him if he weren't playing.
Also, if he does poorly or withdraws from the tournament, I think he'll officially be done.
God bless.

God bless. all signs pointing for a masters return , hope he does well golf needs him even tho I said years ago he would never catch jacks record ( before the scandal and injury i may add) gold really needs him .
sidenote was watching a roundtable debate on golf chanell about who was better was glad to see they all agreed with what ive been saying since i got here
tiger may have more quality players in the field BUT jack had to face much more talented upper echelon players than tiger (watson, palmer, player, miller, floyd, crenshaw, trevino, seve , irwin )
those guys were so much better than anyone tiger faced mcelroy included proof is in the 19 runner ups in majors jack had tiger is still in single digit runner ups so jack 37 first or seconds tiger 20 case closed
and thats no knock on tiger , but bI just look at the facts , he has never won a major when behind entering final round , jack did that many times
nobody made more clutch putts than jack
when two people are so even it comes down to thinking out a shot and clutch putts and nobody not even tiger did that as much as jack in majors that said I will be rooting for him he is great for golf

Rory McIlroy goes in bookies favourite but I don't think he'll do it. Haven't been keeping track of the recent tournaments this year so will probably be a little off with my picks. I see Jordan Spieth doing well. Going to go e/w on a few longer shots, Kaymer & Keegan Bradley both 80/1, and a hit and hope on Jason Duffner at 150/1

Wait so this is a golf thread? You guys must love every single sport. certsin sports like golf and tennis , arent just sports , there "events " in tennis its a battlle between 2 people to this day if you mention "the battle of 18-16" there not talking about a war ,there talking about borg -mcenroe legendary tiebreaker at wimbeldon in 1980 ( macenroe won the battle of 18-16) but borg won the war in the 5 th set its more a battle of wills than sport same in golf nicklaus - watson at turnberry in 77 open championship , they played the final 36 holes even til watson sank a birdie on 17 and won by a stroke many consider it the greatest duel in golf history golf tennis boxing , may not be conventional sports , they go above that , its so much more pyscological and imo more dramatic , why we love it so . Lennon2217 scott switched back to that long putter , should be intrestreng to see if he finds his stroke ..why did he change ? it wasnt broke

Use to always pick a few out of my pool of steady golfers that could get a surprise win. Folwer, Webb Simpson, Justin Rose, Zach Johnson, Luke Donald, Francesco Molinari and a couple of others who fell off the radar would be regular picks backing 2-4 each tournament and hoping they place. You'd get 20/1 on a top 5 or 6 finish most the time. Had Simpson when he won the US Open a few years ago and Donald and Rose I think picking up victories in other competitions. The big guns aren't out yet so should catch some of the play when I'm finished work later on

Wait so this is a golf thread? You guys must love every single sport. I do enjoy a good number of sports (golf included) but one I just don't like is rugby, and I constantly take the piss out of it because all my friends are mad keen on it.

Hats off to him! i picked him and bradley , i really liked speith to wiun his form is unreal , keegan had great odds for money there will never be another tiger or jack , those are once in a generation type person , but i think speith and rory have game to win as many majors as gary player -9 thats alot of modern day majors in the modern era ( not counting bobby jones walter hagen era ) only jack and tiger reached double digits majors ben hogan would have had he not got seriously hurt in car wreck but he did get hurt I can see rory and speith getting at least 6 or more ,
