i'm rock hard for the start today.....
i expect Tiger Woods to win since he seems to be back on fire but my dark horse is Keegan Bradley.
over the last year or so i've really got in to watching golf, it's very relaxing and watching on HD tv is breathtaking.
this year's Masters is covered on ESPN in the U.S., who i feel does the best visual coverage of all the major networks, including having tracers on the ball, which i actually like. and the tornament's also covered by CBS who in my opinion has the best announcers/commentators.
God bless.

Little known fact, before there was Jim Nantz and Pat Summerall calling the Masters on CBS, it was the legendary broadcaster Vin Scully. In my opinion the best announcer ever.

And how about a 14 year old beating half the field lol.
Tiger won't win this thing, he's only "on fire" in those regular tournaments. He can't make the putts he makes in those tournaments at a major where there's all the pressure of the world on him.
Btw, how does the UK view Rory? Legend in the making or an Irish wanker?

I like him enough don't care about his personal shit ,, but the most majors anyone has won after his age is 5 the number he needs to catch jack And the competition then was not as it was now , I can't see him winning 5 more majors , if he does great if not great ..the golfers don't fear him anymore , much like boxers stop fearing Tyson after Douglass knocked him out ..he will win majors maybe even the masters now ..but I can't see 5 more , just goes to show how great jack was And before people go on about tiger doing all these things that jack didnt remember this jack played against all time greats to win 18 Watson , player , Snead , miller , Ballesteros , Palmer , Trevino , guys that have won multiple majors and never wilted when jack was lurking the way these guys do today Don't make him better or worse than jack , just a fact competition deeper today but competition at the top was way tougher then Think of this jack finished second in majors 19 times ! A record tiger will not approach that's 37 times in majors either 1 st or 2 nd. That tough to beat. Just sayin

Just sayin i'm from and live in a suburb of Columbus, close to where Jack's from - he's a legend...... love his tournament as well, The Memorial at Muirfield. as far as Tiger, he needs to put away the monster driver, just like all the other guys - only a small number of the players hit fairways regularly..... i can't remember what British Open it was but Tiger basically hit irons and fairway woods for the entire tournament and won, it may've even been his last major, can't remember. sidenote: i don't know if anyone has played Tiger Woods PGA Tour Masters Edition, or better yet, been to the Masters but it's such a cool course......hardly any truly flat area except tee boxes. amazing. God bless.

Tiger is by far the better player than Jack.
Jack only had to worry about a handful of guys who had the game to win a major. In contemporary golf there are a legitimate group of 60+ golfers who can win it.
Jack won his last one at 46 I believe, Tiger is 37, so he has 9 years to catch up to him. That's only 5 out of 45 opportunities that he has to convert. Not to mention Tiger is in far better shape than Jack ever was.
Tiger ALREADY has more overall wins than Jack in like hundreds of less attempts. It's not really even debatable. Tiger has every conceivable record of golf on lock except for the majors and its only a matter of time until he gets that one wrapped up too.

God bless. Yeah, I play it almost daily. You got this year's version? Granted, I only play the higher difficulties as I think amateur, pro and tour pro modes are too ridiculous and unrealistic. Really enjoying this year's "simulation" addition, it's a sweat to just even break par, as it is in real life. P.S.: the British open you were referring to was Hoylake 2006.

Just stating a opinion don't think he will catch jacks record of 5 majors. Jacjk won 2 in. His 40s. Tiger may need more and as I said competition is deeper but at top not better there were more multiple major winners in jacks day that did not wilt under his weight the way these sorry EXUSE for competitors do when tiger goes atop the leader board .. You may be right , I don't think so in terms of catching the record , never said anything about who was better , having a record does not make u better or Roy Emerson would have been considered the greatest tennis player of his era even tho he is not even in conversation of best Aussies let alone beat ever I to think tiger will be best ever but all I said I don't think he will break record

i tagged you, Ash & Debris - can't stand when quotes go within quotes..... i haven't played this year's edition of Tiger Woods Masters, so it's good? i assume it is... my friend has a PS3 and i've played his games quite a bit. if and when i had a game system i played too much, haha. is the gameplay similar to the old Masters edition, like with button configuration? it took me a while to get use to the set-up from the year or so before the first Masters edition to the actual Masters edition but now i like it.....and yeah, playing that game really makes you appreciate the actual course.... God bless.

The first Masters edition was Tiger 12, the swing went under a complete overhaul after that year and in Tiger 13, it was very different as tempo was introduced into the swing (it's not just straight pull back the analog stick and push forward). And the most recent one (Tiger 14) evolves even further and takes into account shot shaping and you now have to hold the strike meter when you're in the rough or bunker.
If the last game you played was 12, then 14 will be completely different for you. I do recommend you give it a go if you get a chance.

God bless.

What's your take on the whole major setup .? I always thought it is unfair as the euro tour is so big and worldwide now , that to have 3 out of 4 majors in USA is not a true indicator of world best ya know ? I mean baseball ok It's played in other countries like basketball but best talent here playing not born here always but play here . But golf has some of the best play the euro tour and to have 3 of 4 on this tour in this era seems unfair know it won't change but just a thought . In NASCAR and formula 1 all the drivers compete in same type of vehicle they don't race seperate And tennis same way they all play the same tour , golf now is changing , shouldn't the major format As I said just a thought ?? Any opinion ?

Lol I meant I play the video game, not actual golf lol.
But I see your point, golf in Europe is played more along the grounds (links courses), whereas its played more in the air in the US.
3 of the 4 majors are held in US, but one of those 3 is held in the same venue (Augusra) every year. So everybody has to play the same course and has the same opportunity to prepare for it, so that's kind of fair I think.
The PGA championship courses do seemingly tend to favor the US type of players (long, who can hit the ball high), but we've had international winners over the last few years too (Rory, Kaymer, Yang).
I don't think The US Open courses offer any unfair advantage to US players, since the courses tend to be short and you need to be in the fairway to avoid making a big number. So all in all, I don't really think its that big of an issue, golf is the same for everyone. Everyone plays the same course and there isn't that big of a difference on how Americans and non-Americans approach the game anymore.

Makes sense Good points there ..I like to play golf ,,suck but when I crack 100 I feel tops , especially when I toss in the usual booze and weed break before back nine ..always seem. More relaxed on back. Nine trees seem pleasant As for the video game I'm useless unless its pong I suck
