Just watched Loudon Wainwright III's special, "Surviving Twin," on Netflix. It's similar in premise to Springsteen on Broadway, but very different. Highly recommend it.

I saw Holmes & Watson last night. My suggestion is, well, don't. It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen in a cinema. It makes The Phantom Menace look like The Godfather in comparison.

Quantico series finale. Couldn't Killoran have killed everyone except himself?

I never wanted to see the movie about the dog who for years went to pick up his owner even after he died because obvious tearjerking movie. It worked. I saw it yesterday and cried like a baby

I saw it yesterday and cried like a baby You mean Hachi? It was on either today or yesterday. I watched it for the first time last year. I only saw the ending a few years ago and just the ending already made me bawl my eyes out. Finished watching Quincy yesterday. Couldn't watch it in one sit. Too long. Pretty impressive though. I'm now watching Bird Box. Interesting how they can make a film this scary without actually showing you anything.

Series 1 and 2 of Flowers - what a joy - Julian Barrett and Olivia Colman - dark and clever and touching and weird and funny and leaving you wanting more - highly recommended

Hereditary. On my own. Managed to make it trough without giving up. I always liked Tony Collette but this movie has just changed the game in terms of horror movies for me. Absolutely terrifying, not sure yet if it's for good or for bad. Anyway, since it's this time of the year, here's the top 5 'new to me' movies I've seen in 2018:
#1 The Florida Project #2 Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri #3 Lady Bird #4 Call Me by Your Name #5 Shape of Water (really!)

Went to see Bohemian Rhapsody last week in a packed cinema. It was great to watch. Although I'm not a Queen fan, I appreciate their work and influences. Freddy is one of the best front men ever.

And, admit it, the first thing you did the next day was to check out "I love my car". I most certainly did.

The actor who played Paul Young looked like the real one, but Bob Geldof was better than the real one.

Nigella feasts aka Nigella puts too much sugar in everything. I don't have a problem with her but that's a LOT of sugar!

Some recently released McCartney. Big surprise I know. Waited years to hear some of these original Wings performances. About time.

The new spiderman movie is pretty good, especially compared to the avengers movies.
